Northwoods Antler Lodge

Horrible experience. We booked a hunt with the new owner Tyler a year in advance for October of 2022 to celebrate my birthday with a deposit for my wife and I and we were assured Tyler does one hunt at a time and that we would have the lodge to ourselves (small house with no suites) and he double booked our time with another hunter who stayed in the house with us. I did not feel comfortable leaving my wife alone with a stranger while I was out hunting, I was suppose to hunt the next morning and afternoon and then the following morning if I did not already harvest a deer but almost packed up and left because of the double booking, I called Tyler from the lodge/house that he is right next to and told him how we felt about what he had done and then met with him the next morning and went over the booking of the hunt we booked a year or so prior, that it was to celebrate my birthday and that it was a get away for my wife and I. I asked him when booking the hunt what days worked best for him so we could make flight and rent a car arrangements, he told me what days were available and the dates were set. While I hunt my wife had planned to sit in the house/lodge read and relax. I did get a deer the last day but felt rushed to do so because i did not hunt the previous day until the other hunter left. There was also supposed to be a menu, there was not. It was my first "lodge hunting" experience and Tyler lied about pretty much everything. He told me the deer would be scored and I had to wait weeks and after requesting the score he offered for pricing, when I got the score it seemed off enough to email it to a scorer in my state who told me it looked doctored and was not legitimate. I am very loyal would gladly go back once or twice a year if the experience was what we were told to expect, and was expecting what I paid for and it was nothing but lies and deceit. Shameful way to treat people.

Absolutely incredible experience! We’ve made the trip up to Northwoods Antler Lodge from Southeast Texas for 7 years in a row and will continue going back every year. This is the best all inclusive hunt I’ve ever been on. The accommodations are first class, from the lodging to the deer stands, everything is top notch. You won’t have to lift a finger, except to pull the trigger. The quality of the whitetails and elk Northwoods have is, in my opinion, the best in the country. Joe and his family make you feel right at home and treat like you are part of their family. This is a once in a lifetime trip you will want to take every year!!

Absolutely amazing accommodations and staff. Had a great time, will definitely be going back with some friends and family.
