We had a great hunting experience! Ty and Destiny were fantastic guides that were full of enthusiasm and made the entire trip enjoyable. The ranch was beautiful, well-maintained, and filled with some truly impressive deer.
This place is a hidden gem!! You wont be disappointed! Grade A hospitality and service, it was an amazing time! The kids had a great time bottle feeding the baby white tail deer even more fishing!! They caught so many fish the experience and smiles on the kids faces were priceless!! He went above and beyond to show our family a great time. I would definitely recommend and revisit! Beautiful Ranch and amazing exotic animals!!! 10 out of 10!!
I would not go back to the Why Not? Ranch again just because of the man that owns it, Mike Winot. The 1st time I went I was lucky enough to harvest an axis doe. It wasn't a bad trip for me but the other 7 guys weren't able to shoot anything. While they were gutting my axis I noticed the owner (Mike) had a bulldozer beside the shop. He said it was for sale for $50,000. The dozer came with 3 attachments. I had agreed to the purchase with the exception that my brother AND I come back and get to shoot axis doe. He agreed as well. When my brother and I went back to pick up the last attachment with the trailer and were to shoot our axis, we were told AFTER 2 Axis were already shot, gutted and both in the cooler that we owed him $750 for the 2nd axis because he only agreed to 1 axis. Even tthough y texts with Mike this whole time ALWAYS said "my brother and I come down and shoot axis." Not to mention the 1st time I was down my axis cost $300 ead doe. Now it cos $750 each doe. He was charging me for the axis the entire time. That is what I call a very crooked man. PLUS, we never got what we paid for because we still have not received the new blades that went with the root plow for the dozer like Mike stated. Stay clear of this outfitter. If you want to shoot an axis I highly recommend Adrenaline Bow Hunts. They have way more axis and bigger body animals but the main reason is that you don't have to deal with someone like the owner of Why Not? Ranch. On a positive note, the guide we had whose name was Ty was outstanding. He was polite, knowledgeable and helped in every way he could. He did a great job calling the axis back in when we needed him to. He also tried digging in the dirt with the skid steer to attempt to locate the new blades for the root plow we paid for but never received even though that shouldn't have been his job to do. Hats off to Ty and I wish him all the luck in his future. To add after your reply what you said is a lie and I have the texts to prove it. If we were not allowed to shoot 2 axis then that should have been said BEFORE we shot 2 axis. The guide was beside us at all times. Plus we still have not received the new blades that we already paid for that were to go with the attachment as we were told by the owner Mike Winot. Crooked to tell someone they owe for an animal AFTER its in the cooler. I have at least 5 texts that show "MY BROTHER AND I TO SHOOT AXIS" After leaving the ranch the owner calls me and says to turn around and come get my money back. In his exact words "I DON'T NEED YOUR MONEY." I let him know we were already on the highway at that point and with the trailer it wasn't that easy. That he could Venmo or Zelle me the money back. Well that never happened so that's another lie by the owner. My advice is don't buy anything from him because you won't get what you pay for. Don't trust what he says because it will be a lie Don't go to the Why Not? Ranch because I can tell you WHY NOT! Liar, manipulative, crooked and rude. Terrible way to run a business.
