Montesino Ranch, Lodging & Events

The ranch itself was beautiful and had a lot to offer. Unfortunately, we drove right into a storm and a flood so we didn't get to enjoy our time very much. We were able to make the best of it and get a few minutes in the pool when it stopped raining for about an hour which the kids loved! There is a nice seating area for s'more roasting, this is a shared area with the other renters who may be there but we hardly saw others so it wasn't an issue for us. There is a slide and a jungle gym along with a push toy for the little ones and a tree swing! Our little boy loved the push mower, I was so happy there were a few toys for the kids... they saved me my sanity hah! The cabin was fully stocked with everything you would need from lighters to foil, and even had an extra razor and toothbrush which I appreciated very much. Thank you for your hospitality, Hopefully, we can come visit in the future and maybe ride some horses next time and play in the river! Continuous prayers for all of the flooding that happened & lives lost during this time. ♡

We loved our stay at the Farm House at Montesino Ranch! Beautiful old house was perfect for our family with small children. The kitchen was well-equipped to prepare meals. We loved petting the sweet horse by the Lee House and feeding her carrots—and loved seeing all the mama cows with their calves. The river is a short walk away and was a fun place to splash with the kids. Wimberley downtown is a short 10min drive. Highly recommend Montesino Ranch for a quiet getaway in the hill country!

On Saturday, our first child, our baby girl, only daughter, recent graduate from TXST, married the most wonderful young man in the most stunning setting at Montesino Ranch on Saturday, April 26, 2025. It was a small gathering of 115 guests, consisting of immediate family, a few friends that are like family, a bunch of their college friends, and church community from Cypress Creek Church, Wimberley. It was a DIY wedding at its finest, where we were lucky enough to be able to rent out the entire ranch so we didn't have to rush and were all able to stay together. It was all about Jesus on the mountain top overlooking the valley where they said their vows in front of the cross her Dad made. Then it was a gorgeous meal served family style on the lawn amongst green fields with wild flowers and twinkle lights, followed by hours and hours of dancing and laughing in the rustic barn on the Ranch while guests relaxed around the bar and fire pit. It was special & exactly what Libby & Justin wanted --- An elegantly laid-back meaningful ceremony, then a party where they didn't have to meet anyone for the first time and could simply relax and not be on display. They wanted a joyful party, and they got it! I have to admit that I was a little overwhelmed by the venue when we first visited as it has many elements and I was planning it from College Station. My advice is to trust Pam's expertise from past events, hire the right team to implement your vision, and think of it as an experience unlike other weddings. It was perfect, absolutely extraordinary, and so so so much fun for guests. Montesino Ranch is a magnificently relaxing and serene place to have a wedding, where you can see God's handiwork all around you. I heard someone say that this was the only wedding they'd ever been to where the line to sign the Bible was longer than the line for the bar. ❤️ I can not wait to see the professional pictures and video!

We absolutely loved our time at the ranch. Will definitely stay again. We loved horseback riding and hiking the property. It was a great location easy to get to everything we wanted to do.

Amazing place to stay!!! Now with a beautiful pool! What I love about it is the thought on the details all around the different areas and accommodation! Very comfortably beds!! And walking distance from the river ❤️
