Dos Plumas is an incredible hunting ranch! The lodge itself is better than some motel rooms I’ve stayed in — clean, comfortable, and modern. It has cold AC, Wi-Fi, and even internet television, so you can relax in comfort after a hunt. Out in the field, the experience is just as great. There are tons of large hogs, plenty of whitetail deer, the blinds are top notch, and they even have a lighted onsite shooting range to get sighted in before you head out. On top of all that, the people who work here are friendly, welcoming, and go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. Highly recommend this place!

Awesome experience! Great place for any hunter. Living quarters very well kept. Hunts were simple and convenient. Great place to take someone on their first hunt or for experienced hunters looking to take home a bunch of easy meat. Dave made quick work of the hogs and offered some fun banter the whole time. Thank you Quentin and Jordy for running such a great place. Looking forward to seeing your other places in the future.

Great time at Dos Plumas Hunting Ranch. My son and I along with Moonshine Mike were at the ranch in early October. Kenny, Miss B and Dave were great hosts. Accommodations were very clean and worked out well. There is ample room in the lodge and outside area for relaxing after the hunts to enjoy a cold beverage and swap stories. We saw plenty of hogs and had ample opportunity to harvest our hogs. It was no problem for each of us to get our two hogs. My son got one of the bigger hogs of the trip. We also saw multiple deer and roadrunners as we waited for hogs to appear. I would recommend anyone coming to the ranch to have Dave process their hogs. Dave did a great job butchering the hogs. Well worth the extra fee. Dave showed me what meat would make great hams. I smoked up some hams and tenderloins. The hog meat is very delicious and the smoked tenderloin was outstanding. Q and Jordi and their staff run a great hog hunting ranch. Anyone thinking about doing hog hunting, you have to check out this ranch. Awesome experience and we are already planning our return trip.

Kenny, Be and Dave were great hosts. Us 8 senior citizens had a great time telling hunting stories and relaxing in the cabin each evening. There are plenty of hogs, the challenge is to be patient and wait for the larger ones to make their appearance (seemed better in the late afternoon-early evening hunt vice the morning). As advertised, the cabin is configured in 4 bedrooms each having 4 single beds and a bathroom. Worked well. Kitchen is pretty well stocked with the misc necessities but you do have to bring your food. The later hunt in the day returns after dark and by the time the hogs are cleaned (by Dave) it's kind of late to drive into Sweetwater or Abilene for dinner. (we were the last weekend of daylight savings time). They have a large walk in cooler to put the meat which allows it to cool before packing in your own cooler for the drive home. Definitely bring a headlamp and flashlight to carry to the hunting blind. And plan on taking a non-alcoholic beverage with you while you're out on the hunt.

We hunted dos plumes in late March. My son (15 year old) and wife also hunted with me. My son and I started out with a trophy hog hunt and it was definitely more challenging than expected. We did both get our hogs.. one was 214 lbs with great cutters and mine was 249 pounds with medium cutters. We used rifle and still was very challenging. We also took two smaller hogs that we will try with the bow next time we come down. The smaller hogs can be pretty easy but if you are trying to get a larger non trophy hog.. you will have to put in the work. The staff was 100% great and were very accommodating. The lodge had everything one would need and was much cleaner and much better than I expected in looking at pictures etc…. We did have our own room as there was three of us, rooms were very clean as well as bathroom connected to the room. Be aware if you only have two people in your group, you may have to share a room. This was our first time to Dos Plumas and will be back. We enjoyed that it was mainly do it yourself with options of spot and stock which was a blast. 100% recommend, with zero complaints.
