We loved the sanctuary! It’s a wide open concept which is great so is never crowded. Tons of parrots! Animals are well kept, volunteers are kind. Lots of rescued birds and they love the attention of the public. You can feed the goats, ducks… My daughter had a blast! Well priced

Stumbled across this place while visiting Vegas. My wife loves animals and we took a day trip out to the Gilgrease Nature Santuary and it was definitely worth the short drive. There were so many more animals than we were expecting. The Cockatoos were especially entertaining because they kept talking to us trying to get our attention. The director also took time out of her day to give us the backstory of the Sanctuary and walked us around their new addition that is being built. Had a really great time.

We like this place. It isn't in the best condition, very small and very limited amount of animals/birds to look at depending on when you go but I think they mainly run on volunteerism so this is understandable. We still enjoy bringing our toddler here for an outing as it is not far from our house. The rear end of their sanctuary is currently under construction so in this last trip we didnt get to see their full range of animals. Also we noticed their trees and plants beside these beautiful cacti are in desperate need of water though. The cacti were actually the highlight of this particular visit as they were blooming (we've been here at least 3 to 5 times over the last few years so I didnt take any pictures of the actual animals but they have goats, exotic birds, peacocks including albino, chickens, turkey, ostrich emu, pigs etc..and normally when not under construction i believe donkey and llama or alpaca). We haven't gotten to see any cacti bloom in person anywhere until now. Overall, I do recommend this place for a nice outing with family or young kids. The workers are friendly (mainly keep to themselves though while working on many projects) and definitely trying to make it a positive experience and patronizing the place is probably the only way to bring further improvements and more animals. Overall, it is a positive experience, and we will return I am sure

This is a beautiful hidden gem in Northwest Las Vegas! It’s got so many different birds, tortoises, donkeys, lamas and more. Each of which had proper space for their sizes. It’s all outdoors but there were shady areas where you can beat the summer heat. It’s fairly cheap to enter ($5 for adults). I would recommend checking out their website and donate to give a little extra to help out a cool animal sanctuary in our Las Vegas community :)

While small, the animals you see are amazing and friendly ( in their enclosures). Ticket prices were reasonable. Only downside was the rough concrete ang large slopes for wheelchairs.
