Splendor Farms

We spent a whole day at Splendor Farms and enjoyed two long, wonderful horse rides in the nicely shaded woods—a real change of scenery coming from Berlin. We also had a fine cabin room for lunch and breaks, the swimming pool all to ourselves and fed the other farm animals. It was a splendid visit indeed and we’ll no doubt return the next time we’re in Louisiana.

We just got the most perfect puppy from Kelly. He is not only beautiful but he is well socialized. Kelly really loves her puppies you can tell by her application process and interview. I never felt like this was a business transaction. Kelly even stated that this would be a 14-18 year relationship. We had an amazing experience with Kelly and Splendor Farms when we got our mini long-haired dachshund in May 2024. My wife flew down in advance to meet Kelly at the farm, where she had the opportunity to meet the puppies and select our little man. A few weeks later, we flew back down to pick him up, and Kelly went above and beyond to make the process easier by arranging to have him delivered to us at the airport—no need for another drive out to the farm. Kelly was a consummate professional and is a very ethical breeder. Our puppy was already crate trained and came with all his papers, including his vaccinations and microchip information. Kelly was incredibly responsive to all our questions and made sure we felt confident and well-prepared for bringing our new puppy home. We highly recommend Kelly to anyone looking for a responsible, caring breeder.

Kelly is the most responsible and ethical breeder around!! Her dachshunds are well bred, socialized, have exceptional temperaments and confirmation. She ONLY places puppies in loving homes and screens her buyers for best fit for the best possible outcome for her dogs! Kelly runs a first class business and is ALWAYS available as a resource anytime day or night to all of the families that she places her dogs in and they are ALL over the world 🌎! The person who leaves a review of anything less than 5 stars isn’t truly understanding of what the Splendor Farms standards mean. With Splendor Farms you are guaranteed a lifetime family member that was bred for excellence and can be raised with loving care towards many, many years of happiness! Young puppies are not appropriate for service animals and certainly shouldn’t be shipped off for 2 months for training away from their new homes. This is their bonding time. If you’re wanting a dog to train as a service animal then you need an older dog, which Kelly offers to some clients. Again, Splendor Farms has an impeccable international reputation and is a first class breeder of merit! We can’t recommend her highly enough!! We have 2 dogs from her and are looking to get 2 more! They’re just the BEST!!!

What a great time. I brought my 3 kids. They loved the experience. Beautiful area and farm. Our guides were helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely go again in the future.
