Hans, Thanks for an excellent hunting experience. Everything was top notch. We bagged a couple of gobblers and had a good time. Clean comfortable lodge and plenty of turkeys. Really impressed with your deer mounts and shed collection at the lodge.
Hans and his family run a first-class operation. We hunted turkeys and tagged out in 2 days. What more could you ask of your outfitter?!! We saw an abundance of birds, rested in a clean, comfortable lodge and put on weight eating his mom's cooking. Hans does all he can for his clients except pull the trigger. Their friendship alone is worth the drive to Kansas. I hope to return soon. RJ, Indiana
Found Hans on IG and we exchanged a few messages to book the turkey hunt. First day out was uneventful but a great day outdoors nonetheless. Second day was better with more birds nearby but still no shooters. Morning three was the real deal. One bird walked in to 16 yards before his day was over. Immediately after the first bird flopped, a second bird was spotted about 60 yards into the tree line. One soft call on the box call and he walked slowly to me. Dropped him at 25 yards and he was a monster, one big enough that Hans kept him to taxidermy and place in the lodge. Great people, good food and had a blast.
We had a great time at Dirt Road Outfitters this past January! There land is incredible as we, found plenty of quail, pheasant, and ducks. There hospitality is second to none. Looking forward to our trip out there this December!
Would highly recommend turkey hunting with Dirt Road Outfitters. Been looking forward to this hunt for two years! We had to cancel the original date due to injury but they were more than accommodating and allowed us to book for the following season. With our almost midnight arrival, we were greeted with a friendly face, a still warm home cooked lasagna (which was awesome!), a friendly pooch (hi Willow!), a comfortable bed and details about our hunt for the next morning. After a few hours sleep, Hans picked us up and took us to hunting spot. We were told what to expect of the day and to call when we wanted to be picked up. Left to enjoy the Kansas sunrise, we patiently waited while I got my calls ready. Wildlife wandered through and birds flew as an old owl hooted greeting the morning. A few yelps and a lite purr brought in the Rio I was looking for. Hans was excited as we were and helped with the tagging process, pictures and getting back to the house. A successful trip to Kansas for this North Carolina family and we are already talking about coming back next year!.
