Red Horse Mountain Ranch

RHMR is a life changing experience. I don't know if I can put into words what I gained from this experience. The accommodations are great, the food is amazing, the views, breathtaking. The best part of this place is the staff!! They truly know how to make you feel like family! I gained so much confidence riding a horse, I didn't anticipate how much I would bond with my girl Sissy. I definitely shed a few tears leaving this place. Don't horse around, when deciding on this Dude Ranch!!!

My mom and I had a wonderful time! Tara, Mandy, and Rob (along with the rest of the staff) made our trip unforgettable. The entire staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We will definitely be returning!

Red Horse Mountain Ranch is exceptional. There is something to do for everyone: children, adults, experienced horseback riders and novices. Prior to visiting the ranch, I’d never ridden a horse. Staff were patient with me and very helpful making sure I felt comfortable as well as the horse. I now love horseback riding and have such a big soft spot for my horse - it was hard to say goodbye! The food is excellent too, and accommodates any diet. I loved that the ranch had no wifi; it was amazing being able to truly unplug and enjoy being outside in a beautiful place. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. I highly recommend RHMR. Special thanks to Mandy who was so responsive and organized, Jonah who kindly taught us so much about horses, Addi and Rian for helping me build my confidence with riding. I greatly appreciated how hard everyone works to make these visits perfect.

Absolutely amazing place for a family vacation focused on getting outside, spending time together, and of course lots of riding. Something for all ages and levels. Fabulous food, great service, great rooms. If you're looking for a dude ranch vacation you can stop searching, this is the place.

Our visit took place from June 8th to 14th, and it was truly an unforgettable vacation. From the moment we arrived, the staff, including Jonah, Annaka, Mandy, Vin, Matt, and Ranch Manager Rob (an Ohio University Bobcat!) and his wife Ashley, made us feel welcome. Most of them have been with the ranch for years, and while many of the wranglers were newer, they were all highly experienced and professional. In just a couple of days, the team knew everyone’s name, creating a warm and personal atmosphere. The week was thoughtfully structured, with morning and afternoon activities each day, followed by group events every evening. The variety of activities was a big plus—whether you were up for horseback riding, fishing, or something more low-key, there was always something to enjoy. The food was absolutely fantastic. Each meal offered a great variety with minimal repetition throughout the week. Lunch and dinner featured rotating selections of meats, chicken, fish, fresh salads, vegetables, and decadent desserts—always delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Our accommodations were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Our cabin even had a private hot tub, which we enjoyed several times during the week.
