I met Alexandra and Eric at a chicken swap about 10 years ago. I re-connected with them a couple years ago when I was looking for some laying hens. I was thrilled to learn that they have a working farm. Every bird I've gotten from Stellar has been healthy, hearty and a great layer. Alexandra has been a fantastic mentor with chickens as well as my Nigerian Dwarf goats. She has been supportive, responsive, understanding and someone I consider a friend. This place is amazing! The owner is very knowledgeable. They have everything from fresh poultry, eggs for eating and hatching, the highest quality heritage birds anywhere, quail meat and eggs. They even are getting ready to offer heritage pork. If you're in Ruskin go on their website and order some meat or eggs ! You won't regret it. They also heavily support 4-H programs and are involved in the community which is how I found them.

These folks sell fresh ,pasture raised meat and eggs.The meat is delicious! They sell cuts or whole chickens and they sell pork cuts or shares. Yes the grocery store is less expensive. You don't get this high quality fresh meat though. Trust me. Spend the money and you'll never want to buy from the grocery store again. They are fantastic. The woman who runs the farm is super smart. She explained different meat cuts to me that I didn't know the differences of. Go here and fill-up your freezer.

I really appreciate the farming philosophy at Stellar Game Bird. The Jumbo Brown Quail are nothing less than amazing. The quality of all their stock is the best. I enjoy eating fresh quail meat and chicken eggs from their farm. I’m buying some rabbits from them soon because I want a quality breed that will thrive in my back yard.
