AZ B and B Outfitters LLC

Whenever I schedule hunts every year in the western states I do A LOT of research. I was looking for a mule deer hunt in the western states and looked at numerous states and outfitters and I ended up choosing AZ B & B Outfitters. Bill Gonzales runs this outfit and through much research it appeared his hunters experienced a lot of success on big mule deers. I called Billy to talk to him about the hunt to see if it fit what I was looking for and we talked about pricing, what the camp was like, and he told me he runs a 100% shot opportunity. I’ve never had any outfitter say that so I took it in stride. I still had not made my decision and had more questions, so I called Billy again and he was hunting white tails in the upper mid west with a client who had invited him to hunt on his property as a guest. I thought that spoke volumes that your guide did a good enough job that you trust him and had him travel to hunt with you. So I committed to the hunt. If you’re looking for a hunt to kill a mule deer, this is the outfitter to go with. The accommodations are typical walled tent with an additional 2 bed camper they use so it’s not a hunting spa, it’s a deer camp, but you are very well taken care of in camp. When I was there, I believe we had 5 hunters in camp over the five days. All one-on-one hunter to Guide ratio and expect to see anywhere from 30-50 mule deer a day depending on what area you are hunting. ALL hunters had shot opportunities from my understanding, whether they took the shot or not was their call. I had 3 shot opportunities and the Buck I shot on the last day was a 5x5 muley after an incredible stalk in the beautiful mountains of Arizona. While this sounds good enough for any hunter to commit to this, it’s not the best feature of the outfitter. I had two guides, Andy and Kyle. I had Andy for 4 days and Kyle for 1 day due to Andy’s work schedule on that last day. I have elk and bear hunted over the years in Utah, Montana, Wyoming Colorado and Arizona and I have never had guides as good as these two guides. These guides were professional, smart and fun to be with, just 100% solid guides. Each was very experienced in the field craft of hunting and together made numerous stalks throughout my 5 day hunt. I can’t say enough good things about these two guides. I also got to know the other two guides in camp Jayce and Ralph. Both were great guys to have in camp and they got their clients shot opportunities that week as well. This is one hunt, and outfitter, I will be schedule another hunt with. Dale Tweedy

Had a great experience hunting with Billy. Food was great, hunting was great and saw good deer. Hunted in mid January for bow season, saw bucks and went after a few. Lost the chance at the one we were after due to a lion jumping the buck when we got about 100 yards from him. Good experience and will go back.

Billy's got hunting in his veins. He strives to provide the best hunting experience possible by offering a fully outfitted hunt: he takes a lot of thinking and worrying out of the hunt- all you have to worry about is being ready for that final stalk to get those 50 yards from a Buck. Man, it's something else being that close to game, buck fever can hit you bad, but Billy and his crew are right there to back you up. He's always cool headed and helps you get "in the zone" to let go off that arrow at the right moment in the right place. Excellent glassing skills, a natural sense of how bucks behave... he catches deer that anyone else would miss. Best outfitter for Southeastern AZ, this man knows all the honey holes.

Billy and my guide Ralph was great. We saw lots of bucks. Many mule deer. Saw very few coues but got three stalks on a good coues buck but just could not seal the deal. Hope to return soon. Good hunting and good food.

Went on a Sonora Mexico Hunt with Billy and Ralph and had the best experience hunting with these guys. They're great at finding animals and setting you up for success. Would highly recommend anybody looking to hire an Outfitter, great people!!! Can't wait to hunt with them again.
