I’ve had the privilege of working beside many hard-working individuals during my adult working career and I can say with all honesty Tyler O’Brien owner of O’Brien Creek Outfitters shoots straight to the top landing alongside my top 5. O’Brien Creek Outfitters are the most determined group of folks you will ever have the privilege of hunting with. Tyler strives to get you in front of great animals, the rest is up to you. Hopefully you’ve prepared yourself to meet the physical demands of the hunt. A word to the wise if you barely squeak out a 32” inseam, don’t be discouraged when a much younger 36” inseam gets to the tree first; just enjoy the journey. The time I spent with O’Brien Creek Outfitters exceeded my expectations, however when it comes to hunting can one honestly have expectations? There is no guarantee of a harvest. The unexpected happens, animals behave as animals and do what they do best, eat, sleep, and avoid detection. I experienced some of Wyoming’s beautiful country every day. I spent time with people I’d never met before that welcomed me like I was family and treated me with kindness. If you’re from flat country recognize that Wyoming doesn’t have ravines, they have canyons. Don’t let the other if not better half of O’Brien Creek Outfitters, Sara O’Brien, fool you into thinking she’s just a pretty face in camp. She worked just as hard as the boys, getting dogs and gear ready each day then hopping into the truck to help with the hunt. In the evening she can be found preparing some of the finest meals I’ve eaten, her Beer Bread is incredible and pairs nicely with her homemade Beef and Sausage Medley soup. Her many courses take more savory turns than a Knives Out murder mystery and you’ll gobble them up like a Hoover Deluxe. I had some of the most memorable and entertaining moments in the company of Tyler and Sara O’Brien and the standup act of Bobcat Luke. Deep thought provoking and philosophical conversations were had such as “if my dog had a voice it would sound like… If my dog was a song it would be… If we were stranded in the wilderness… I did mention earlier that hunting does not come with any guarantees; however, I’m pleased to say that my hunt ended with a successful harvest of a great Tom, one of God’s finest predators in North America. Tyler and Sara were just as, if not more, thrilled than I was once I caught my breath… If you are looking for great hunting, beautiful scenery and folks to make memories with, O’Brien Creek Outfitters is the team to sign on with.

I recently had the pleasure of going on an elk hunt with O’Brien Creek Outfitters, and I was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The pre-hunt communication was great. Tyler and Sara O’Brien were incredibly responsive, always providing clear, detailed answers to all of my questions about the terrain, gear, and what to expect. The hunt itself was incredible and everything I wanted out of the hunt. I had the opportunity to glass for elk in the stunning Big Horn Mountains, and we were able to wrap up the hunt with heavy packs—an accomplishment I’ll never forget. Tyler, Sara, and guide Mike Sherwood went above and beyond, putting in a tremendous amount of effort to ensure I had a successful and enjoyable experience. I truly appreciated the time spent on the mountain and in camp with such great people. Tyler, Sara, and Mike are all top-notch, and their dedication to making the hunt memorable was evident throughout. O’Brien Creek Outfitters is a fantastic operation, and I’m already looking forward to booking my next hunt with them.

O'Brien Creek Outfitters were great to work with right from the planning stages of our Mountain Lion hunt. Any and all questions were answered in a timely fashion and they kept us up to date with anything we needed to know ahead of arriving. You won't find anyone with more knowledge and that will work as hard for you on the hunt than Tyler and his crew. They know the areas they hunt very well and will do everything they can to try and make sure you are successful on the hunt. The hounds were phenomenal, when it was time to perform they knew what to do and gave us several great chases. It was a week that will be remembered forever not just for the hunt but for the hard work and camaraderie. I would highly recommend O'Brien Creek Outfitters if you are looking for a Mountain Lion hunt.

Tyler and Sarah run an awesome outfit. I've never book a hunt out West so this was my first experience. They stayed in constant contact with us leading up to thew hunt to make sure we were prepared. My buddy and I both took very nice antelope and saw lots of animals on our trip. Accommodations and meals were very nice and Tyler worked hard to ensure we got an animal we were happy with. I will definitely be booking more hunts in the future with them

After 50 years of hunting experiences I could have not been more blessed to have hunted with O’Brien creek outfitters. Their responsiveness, quality of hunting property, knowledge of the guides and work ethic not to mention the incredible meals made my last mountain experience a great way to end a long career.
