Stayed here for a week! All I can say is WOW! The staff was exceptional. They made the entire experience feel so personable! The owners even came around each day to check in on you. The food was really good! They serve breakfast, lunch (will pack you a lunch if exploring outside the ranch), and dinner has 3 different options to choose from! The horses were gentle and well taken care of! The rides are private rather than with a group of people which we really enjoyed! They also give you the same horse for every ride so you can really get to know the horse! The cabins were spacious and clean! Daily housekeeping. No AC but it was not needed even in July! The cell service is spotty, but there’s good WiFi at the lodge!
Our family had the best time at Moosehead this summer celebrating my husband’s birthday. We truly enjoyed every moment riding horses amongst the Tetons and spending time at the ranch. The staff, wranglers, and cabin girls were so sweet and helpful. The food was delicious and the cabin we had was lovely and well appointed. This was our first time at a dude ranch and it exceeded our expectations. We hope to return again one day! Thank you to Chris and Lindsey and everyone at Moosehead!
My wife and I visited the horses at a turn out on the way to the Tetons NP. It was wonderful to see the horses, sometimes close to the fence, at times way out in the field and many people besides myself enjoying being near to these wonderful animals. We will look to stay at the Moose Head Ranch in the future, our RV home has been in the Alpina WY area for about a month now. Over the last 30 days we have spent time at Jenny Lake Cabins, Colter Bay Village Cabins, Float down the Snake River, seeing Hidden Falls - all of very amazing and lots of images to try to savor the experience, but for me the horses is special beyond words, I'm not the only one to visit that thinks this way.
Four generations of our family met at the historic and iconic Moose Head Ranch for an incredible week of all-American fun. At the outset, the views are breathtaking. Set nearly at the base of the Grand Tetons, the Ranch's main Lodge, and some cabins look out to the majesty of these mountains. The staff are some of the nicest and most helpful people you'll ever meet. From the moment we step foot on the property, we we treated like family and made to feel at home. The food, served in the main lodge, was always delicious and always just the right proportions. The chef can help accommodate special dietary restrictions. Though the Ranch doesn't have their liquor license, guests can bring their own beer, wine, and spirits, and the Ranch can store them in the Lodge's bar, available at any time. Eddie, the lead wrangler, is truly a professional cowboy, and his staff of young men do a fantastic job at maintaining the horses for the guests enjoyment. Riding is complimentary, and the Ranch has all the gear you might need. Fly fishing lessons are offered by Chris, and he teaches the novice and experienced fishers with ease. The cabins are rustic but quite comfortable. We can't recommend Moose Head Ranch highly enough.
We absolutely loved our stay at Moose Head Ranch this summer! The setting was spectacular, with gorgeous views of the Grand Teton range. The owners and staff were friendly and extremely professional. The food was wonderful, and our cabin was very comfortable. The horseback riding was certainly the highlight. We were able to ride twice daily and each time, we rode a different trail. We frequently encountered bison and elk on our rides and covered varying terrain. The wranglers and horses were excellent. I am running out of superlative adjectives to describe the ranch! We will certainly be back in the future!
