This multigenerational family has been guiding outdoor enthusiasts in the Wind river back country for decades. They know the location like the back of their hands. They made our weeklong trip work out perfectly.

Used Bald Mtn Outfitters for a gear drop and pickup for a six-night base camp near Island Lake. Terry, Nicole, and the crew of wranglers on both trips were hard-working, knowledgeable, and experienced. The stock seemed healthy and cared for. I’d book them again. Email with Terry was concise - just the facts. This ain’t no bespoke, curated-for-you experience. Show up where he says with your gear packed and ready. He and his crew will take it from there and pick it up when they say. For the work they put in - and the work it saved us - the rates were very reasonable.

Booked a moose hunt. To say the hunt was amazing would be an understatement. Brandon our guide was awesome! He had a great knowledge of the area, had a great wit, and was super fun to hang out with. The only complaint I had was that the hunt was over in two hours! Brandon found a great bull right off the bat that we knew was the one. After a quick stalk, we were giving high fives and taking pictures. There are a ton of moose in the area, and they know all the spots. Do yourself a favor and book with this outfit!

Bald mountain outfitters are amazing! We have used them over and over to carry our gear in and out of the wind rivers as well as horse riding to campsites. They are always very careful with all of our things. Terry, Nycole and everyone else are so friendly and really care for their clients as well as the animals.
