Great time with this outfitter. Have been on many guides both in and out of the country, and this was one of my favorite experiences. My wife and I went out with Jordan, who was a blast to chat and fish with. He was also very professional and accommodating when needed. Most importantly, although he is young, he knows what he is doing and put us on some HOGS. I unfortunately let a monster pop off after a few minutes of battling, and Jordan was even more disappointed for me than I was 😂. Although we were just doing catch and release, we hooked into some beautiful fish and had fish on the lines basically the entire time. I would highly recommend going out with these guys. Although I grew up on this river and was hesitant about booking with them, I plan on booking a charter with them every time I am able to come home from now on.

Booked a trip w these fine folks for ice fishing with my wife. We had an absolute blast catching giant perch. The airboat ride was awesome too! If you wanna go ice fishing out of an airboat, for backwater Mississippi River jumbo perch, this is the BEST place you can go!

My brother our friend and I went on a boat with Jordan. I’ve been on 10 or so guided fishing boats, including fly fishing the Colorado River, and fishing multiple times in Florida near st.Petersburg. This was the best guided trip I have experienced. Brother caught a 28” walleye and our friend caught a 26”. My biggest was a 20” walleye. We let those go and Jordan made sure we caught our limit. We had him filet the fish and took it back to our hotel where we cut it up and cooked it. Some of the best fish I have ever had but more important the best customer service. I called on a Friday afternoon and was hoping to get in the next day on Saturday which they made happen on short notice. These guys are the best. Come through this area every year for work and going to make it a point to schedule out time to go out again with these guys. Thank you Jordan we really appreciated everything you did for us.

I just got back from four days of an amazing outing. I have never hunted with Rutting Ridge outfitters before. I have to tell you I definitely will be going back!! To start off with the accommodations were more than five star. All the stands and blinds were replaced in an absolute awesome ambush point. Jared and Jordan did everything in their power to make sure that I was able to take a quality animal. The weather was not on our side 40 to 50 mile an hour winds, nothing likes to move in that. Jarred and Jordan did their job better than even I expected.. I still saw deer even in the middle of those winds. I had a good quality buck at 70 yards and I opted to wait for a bigger one, even though this one met the criteria of a true trophy. The properties that I hunted were an absolute Whitetail habitat dream. Their management practices truly show what Buffalo County is all about. The camaraderie that we enjoyed every single night talking hunting and fishing was just the icing on the cake. If you guys are looking to go to a place that will bust their butts to make sure they put you on the right animal and truly enjoy yourself, this is your place.

Absolutely spectacular trip, Jared and his team are top notch! It was my son’s first experience ice fishing the Mississippi and he is hooked. Jared is an awesome guide, and couldn’t have made the trip better! Thanks captain Jared and we can’t wait to return!
