This was an awesome experience for us as first time Pheasant hunters. Booking with Rusty was very easy. The cabin we stayed in was rustic but spacious and comfortable. It has a working kitchen with coffee pot and coffee and on the property you'll be hunting. Our guide Don & his dog Otto was the best! He was very patient with us and made it a very positive experience. I highly recommend this outfitter. We are already planning another trip.

Rusty and Jacquie were so sweet. I brought two of my son's out to do the pheasant hunting for one of their birthdays. They made it a super special day. The guide and his dog were awesome, he was so good with kids and making sure we were safe and successful.

Rusty Hunt booked our family bird hunt mid-winter. He is a great communicator, and used his extensive experience to pair us with the perfect guide, Dan. And hunting on the preserve saved us scores of dollars from having to buy state hunting licenses, and was way more flexible than the state seasons. The birds were quality bred and raised. We rented the HRO cabin for our family reunion, so we could practice and hunt without being stressed with travel. The cabin we stayed in was rustic (as advertised) but clean as a whistle. It was the perfect way to celebrate with a quality hunt. Dan's high quality pointers made it possible to harvest almost all of our birds. Dan also made great efforts to accomodate our newby hunter. If you want a great bird hunting experience, this is the place to be. Super awesome guide with champion guide dogs and a rustic cabin that makes me wish I lived there! Been twice and always the best experience. Highly recommend!
