UPDATED HUNT - Sept 2025 - we went back…it was a BLAST again! We had the amazing Noah and his awesome dogs Jane and Moxee! They were on point (pun intended) throughout the entire hunt. We had more shots at more birds than we could’ve hoped for. Brought a close family friend’s son this time and Noah was amazing with guiding him. If you’ve got a young kid interested in birds I would HIGHLY recommend you come here as they will have a blast and be taught the right way to hunt upland birds. Thanks again to Joe, Noah, and the entire crew for making it a memorable trip we will never forget!! Till next time… INITIAL HUNT - Nov 2024 - We had an amazing experience hunting with Noah, Donyae, and Susanne! Joe was also amazing and super accommodating. Would give as many stars as I could as I feel it was a FIRST CLASS experience. As a novice we learned SO much from every guide and got to see how different dogs work. Everyone was beyond kind and accommodating, which is not always the case. No one ever made us feel bad for missing a shot, which we did quite often. Our afternoon hunt today was a bit more successful thanks to a little better shooting and due to the diligence and hard work of the amazing Harley and Susanne…they must have put up over 35 birds, no joke! Truly were impressed with this amazing duo!! The owner even came up after our hunt and gave us a beer…what more can you ask for! Can’t recommend this place enough and will be coming back for sure! Is a GREAT way to learn about upland bird hunting and to learn the ropes! Also great if you want to shoot a bunch of birds as all the guides will go above and beyond to get you on some birds.

This was our 2nd trip to the Double Barrel Ranch. They do not disappoint! We had a great time and love that we can bring our own dogs to hunt with. We would highly recommend calling Joe "The Bird Man" and booking a hunt.

We've been going to Double Barrel for years with our Springers. What a nice setup for training dogs, introducing friends to upland hunting, and for experienced hunters to just enjoy time in scenic, rolling hills and great habitat with good-flying birds. Staying at the ranch house is comfortable and convenient for our multi-day hunts. Joe and Tom provide outstanding customer service, accommodating our requests and offering their own suggestions for making the best of each day based on our group and the weather. (Be sure to try Tom's Red- leg pairs for extra challenge!) Water tanks are available in the field, refreshing our dogs for longer days and warm weather. We've never been disappointed in all these years, and our dogs are especially happy!

Excellent experience for grandpa, son in law, and grandsons! From start to finish the guys were easy to work with, organized, and personable. Top tier operation and beautiful hunting grounds. We will be back and recommend to others. Thank you for a memorable experience!

Had an amazing Spring Turkey hunt with Joe “the Birdman”. It was my first turkey hunt and Joe was kind, patient, professional and always willing to give tips and insights. I hope to be back! Andy was the other guide with our crew and he was fantastic as well!
