Sunrise Ranch offers a full service, wonderful hunting experience with experienced guides, as close to what you would experience if you were part of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. In addition, they offer ranch to table meals, whole milk from the resident dairy cow, eggs gathered that morning, beef and/or bison entrees, garlic bread with homemade ricotta cheese from the ranch milk, and desserts made with local apples.
Lovely place and people. Our cook was amazing and the staff were super nice. We will definitely be back. Had the best time hunting Buffalo and getting to know the people running the ranch. It's like going back in time.
We met family for a vacation at Sunrise Ranch in July of 2018. The ranch was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough to fit roughly 20 with room to spare. A complete and roomy kitchen made it easy to prepare meals while an options of grills and a fire pit made barbecuing a breeze. The male and female bathrooms with two toilets and two showers in each made the morning rush run smoothly. I can not speak highly enough about the owners. Mark and his family were extremely friendly and would do or provide anything needed for our stay. Hunter gave us a beautiful tour on horseback of their property and did an awesome job of explaining our views and the history behind the area. The entire family spoke very kindly to us and made us feel like welcomed guests. We felt very welcome and extremely enjoyed the property and ability to stay on an operating ranch. I would recommend Sunrise Ranch to anyone and will make it my first choice when heading out to the Black Hills. Thank you Sunshine Ranch!
From the time we arrived, we felt welcomed. Fantastic accommodations, great atmosphere and phenomenal home cooked meals and deserts! They guides are well informed and extremely helpful. This whole hunting experience had been more than we could have asked for. We will definitely be back and will HIGHLY recommend Sunrise Ranch to everyone! Thank you Mark and Suzanne for your kindness. I spent 4 days here at a Ranching for Profits school. Well worth it. The lodge has a awesome lookin old style store front. Just the good ole western look. In the evenin you can see the light of the small town of Edgemont shimmering in the valley a few miles away, with the sound of crickets and a occasional cow talking to her calf. Waking up the next morning to ranchy meal of breakfast burritos and pancakes and a cup of black coffee. Never lets you down them good homemade meals. That's just a little portion of the time I spent there.
