Royal Flush Hunting Lodge

Charlie and his team were great hosts. The lodge was well maintained and had all the things we needed for a good nights stay and drink. The food was amazing. If you go hungry there it is your own fault. The guides were professional, knowledgeable and put us on birds everyday. The dogs are well behaved and on point. It was enjoyable to watch them work. My cousin and I had a great time hunting at Royal Flush hunting Lodge and would recommend to others. The taxidermist does solid work at a reasonable cost as well.

A group of us did a 3 day pheasant hunting trip in November to Royal Flush and had a fantastic time. Lots of birds, great hunting, excellent lodge, and the food was so good. We've been here before and keep coming back....because it's a great time. Charley and his staff are excellent. Professional and caring. Guides and dogs did a great job. They worked hard to make sure the hunt was safe, and that everyone had a good time. Can't let a review go without referencing the excellent food...we ate very well! The rooms are comfortable and clean. I'd definitely recommend it for your next hunt.

If you want an amazing experience hunting in South Dakota! Royal Flush is where you want to visit. The lodge is amazing, clean, the staff and chef are amazing (I didn’t want to leave). The food was amazing! The rooms were clean, clean sheets, bathrooms, eating areas! Even an open bar!! Don’t get that at many places, had an amazing area for the dogs to run. A cleaning station for the birds. Hunting days were amazing. Putting us on birds! (Limits everyday) No words can describe how amazing this Women’s weekend was, I’m looking forward to this hunt every year! Charlie and his family are amazing! So thankful our paths crossed!!

The entire trip was incredible. The guides, meals, lodge and hunting was awesome! It was an experience of a life time and I 10/10 recommend Royal flush hunting lodge to anyone. I had never been pheasant hunting before and didn’t know what to expect but I was beyond satisfied with the experience! Lastly the dogs were amazing and happy to be out there and go get pheasant. Shout out to my favorite dogs Jake and Thor!

I have wanted to Buffalo hunt my entire life. But choosing a hunt of a lifetime can be a tough decision. However, Charlie made this decision fairly easy. I contacted 4 outfitters. Charlie is the only one who replied to my requests. When he did he provided me a lot of info, and answered a lot of my questions. Then, after I booked with him he kept in contact with me. The day I was to head to Royal Flush bad weather moved in and it looked like I was going to have to cancel. Charlie adjusted and worked with me to make sure the hunt happened. When I got there the lodge was clean, and it’s a very nice place with everything you’ll need to relax and have fun. Charlie is very personable, and willing to do whatever it takes to make you comfortable. I always wanted to hunt Buffalo with my bow. I have been to some places who frown on bow hunting because of the extra work and time it can take to get a close shot. Charlie, Wyatt, Gary (and the rest of the ranch crew) didn’t back down from the challenge. In fact, they seemed excited for the challenge. And, despite the frigid temps, they worked hard to make it happen. I honestly don’t know who was more excited, me, or them. They are definitely passionate about what they do. The aftercare and efforts to process and preserve my trophy was equally impressive. They use a great butcher, who clearly worked hard and long to process the meat. I was able to pick it up the next day. It was neatly packed and partially frozen. I can’t attest to the taxidermy yet, but I can say he skinned and started preserving the cape that night. And, I can’t wait to get the head back. After the hunt, most outfitters are done. But, Charlie continued his service and work towards checking on our needs and wants. I came as a client, but was treated like a friend. Charlie is a class act, and if you’re looking for a place to hunt, I would highly recommend Charlie and Royal Flush.
