Ghost Canyon Getaway

We loved staying at Ghost Canyon Getaway! Our host, Mandy, was the best- great communication and super kind (she spent an hour of her time one morning helping us get our keys out of the locked rental car). The rental was clean and well stocked. The beds were super comfortable (the kids and my husband all said it was the best sleep we had on our trip). The location is perfect for visiting all around Black Hills. If we ever travel to South Dakota again, we will definitely stay here again!

First of all, the property is just beautiful. Idyllic with horses and deer roaming in the fields. We enjoyed the yard where the kids ran around, explored, and played volleyball. The room was very clean and had everything we needed and then some. You can tell that the host has put a lot of thought into making it as convenient as possible. She even brought her horse over for the kids to see. My kids slept on the sofa bed and we were very comfortable. We accidentally locked our keys in the car and had to wait for roadside assistance to come open it—I was worried we were too far in the boonies and it was Sunday, but it went fine. The property is very close to Custer State Park and Mt. Rushmore and was a great home base for sight-seeing. We would definitely stay here again!

So quiet and peaceful. Our cabin was well equipped and very comfortable. The host communicated clearly and timely and was super helpful. Fantastic place!! It is well situated for Custer state park. The only drawback is driving 5 miles down a slow dirt road anytime you want to go somewhere. I would definitely recommend.

Loved our 2 day stay here. Mandy and her mom made us feel like family and felt like home. We had cabin 4 and it has everything you need. Washer/ dryer , fridge, stove , toaster , pots and pans. There is a grill on back deck. It's so peaceful here and the views are beautiful. Got to meet them and the pups our first night and it was like we knew them. So comfortable. We wished we could stay longer here and definitely will be back if we are in the area. If you want to cook in cabin she has everything you need just need to bring the food. Highly recommend this place if you want a peaceful place and close to everything here.

This is one of the most beautiful log cabin stays that we have been at. Jane and Mandy took care of everything, and our cabin was perfectly located just 30 minutes from Mt. Rushmore! This was a steal and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mt. Rushmore.
