If you're looking for the ultimate hunting experience, Buffalo Butte is it! Dillon and his team go above and beyond to ensure everything is absolutely perfect from start to finish. The pheasant hunting is second to none—truly an experience that every hunting enthusiast should have. The food and service are out of this world; every meal was a highlight, thanks to the team's attention to detail and hospitality. On top of the incredible hunting, we had a blast with the long-range target shooting (pun intended!)—such a thrilling and well-organized activity. We were so impressed that we've already reserved our days for next year. Can’t wait to be back—thank you, Dillon and team, for an unforgettable time!

Buffalo Butte is hands-down the best hunting destination we've ever experienced. Dillon and his team are exceptional hosts, making sure every detail is taken care of so we could focus on enjoying the hunt. The pheasant hunting here is on a whole other level—absolutely thrilling and truly rewarding. And the meals? Simply incredible. Every bite was delicious, and the level of service made us feel right at home. We also got to do some long-range target shooting, which added an extra layer of excitement to the trip. It was such a unique experience, and we had a blast! We’re already booked to come back next year, and it can’t come soon enough. Wonderful trip with a small group of best friends. We came for 3 nights early season. From our arrival which was late and keeping a plate of dinner warm for us until we left, the Springer family and their team were just wonderful. We stayed in one of the cabins, had everything you need from comfortable bed, to small kitchen, well stocked with drinks. We brought our own beverages however that was definitely not needed. Weather went from high of 104 Thursday to high of 54 on Friday and we got to see and shoot lots of birds. Dillon, Marshall, Colleen, Rachel all class acts. Made us feel at home. You won't go hungry or thirsty. You will get lots of birds. Great dogs. There were two large groups that came in and stayed in the main house, yet still plenty of room to come in and hang out after a long day. Five stars is not enough.

Great place for pheasant hunting in South Dakota. Comfortable lodge with all the amenities. Clean rooms and spacious living room. Owners are friendly, accommodating, and very responsive. Great guides and the hunting has been consistent even in challenging weather.
