My son bagged his first wild hog with a lot guidance from Waccamaw Hunting Services. Great people, lots of funny jokes, and serious hunting. If you haven't hunted before, you will get plenty of strong push in the right direction. Hunt camp's got everything you need. There's a good buffet dinner in town for $11 per person. Looking forward to the next trip!

Had a great time turkey hunting down south with Rick. He’s very passionate about what he does and he works hard to ensure every client has an opportunity to come back home with a bird. My dad and I got our first longbeards on this trip thanks to Rick’s experience. He knows how to adapt to every situation, even when turkeys aren’t responsive like it was the case this trip. Very thankful for this amazing experience and we will definitely be back!

I would highly recommend Waccamaw Hunting Services to anyone interested in the opportunity to harvest the trophy animal of their choice. I have enjoyed hunting with Rick and Will multiple times for almost 10 years. I have always had an excellent experience, barring some rainy weather, and have learned a lot from listening to them. I do not consider myself an expert hunter but Rick has always been patient and helpful with advice, tips, and knowledge. There seems to be an endless amount of different choices for stands and blinds and Rick always makes sure to put you somewhere where you will not be winded or seen by the animals. It’s up to you to listen to him and give yourself the best opportunity for a successful hunt. He works hard at managing the stands and knows the business better than anyone or any place else that I’ve been. The accommodations and food provided with your hunt will expose you to that southern experience that is hard to find out west or up north. You’ll always be surrounded by people that remind you of friends and family. It’s a very relaxed experienced. Rick and his staff have done all of the hard work, just do your part and enjoy your hunt. Waccamaw is a short drive to Myrtle Beach for anyone that would want to come but not looking to hunt. Fun for the whole family.

Went on an early season rifle hunt with Rick at Waccamaw hunting services. There were 4 of us in camp and everyone saw plenty of deer, there were a few hogs spotted as well which is rare in that kind of heat. The food was incredible! I highly recommend them, definitely top of my list of hunts that I have been on. In saying that I have hunted close to 20 states with various outfitters killing many types of big game. I did not harvest a deer here but it was still one of my most memorable hunts i have ever had, you should really think about that when choosing an outfitter. No one can guarantee you a kill in a true fair chase situation but what they can control is how they treat you and how they treat each hunt. Rick does an excellent job at both, the bucks just weren't cooperating in the 80+ degree weather. Had the weather been better or the rut been on I feel sure that I would have gotten an opportunity at a buck. Thank's again Rick for a great time I will definitely be back!

We had a great time hunting with Rick. We saw lots of deer, got one for the cooler and should’ve had another, all under lousy weather conditions. He’s serious about what he does, prepares and works really hard to give you a good hunt. When we left, we all remarked that he does everything in his power to give you a chance. The homestyle cooking is just what hunting camp needs. Absolutely delicious. Thanks again!
