Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery

Near Camp Sherman, a great little spot to spend a short time. Fish food costs a quarter and there’s a change machine available on the grounds. The kids love feeding all the fish. There’s a large pond towards the back that is home to very big fish!

Mid-week visit. Enjoyed wandering the grounds & checking out all the different sections with fish in varying stages of growth. Most of our time was spent feeding the semi-wild trout at the pond & marveling at their size & never-ending appetite. A must for families with kiddos!

I've gone here twice and both times I enjoyed it a lot. It was really nice to just walk around and appreciate nature as well as to feed the fish. You can buy some fish food and machines around the place for a quarter. You can also spot an eagle perched at the top of the trees sometimes which is awesome sight. I forgot to take pictures of the actual hatchery, but I took some of the river.

Very beautiful place for a stroll/hike, alone or with family or friends. Place is well maintained, with lots of fish of different stage complete with information boards for your knowledge. Bring a picnic lunch as there are tables overlooking the lake and the view is gorgeous!
