We have stayed in the farm house and the cabin. Both are wonderful! Kiddos love feeding the chickens. We love petting the goats and exploring the woods. Excellent weekend every time
We stayed two nights in the cottage while on a bike trip in early June. The gravel road leading to the farm was a bit difficult, but it was well worth the trouble. The cottage was comfortable and offered beautiful views of fields and hills, and the fridge was stocked with bread, butter, muffins, milk, and fruit. I hung out at the cottage due to my allergies, but my husband had a wonderful time participating in morning and evening farm chores--and he was given some fresh eggs that we turned into a delicious meal. We would definitely stay here again.
We visited at the end of April for a tour and I cannot recommend this game enough! We were able to feed baby sheep, pet (and hold) goats, visit with horses, donkeys, birds, and so much more! Also hiked and had a picnic lunch, perfect day getaway
My wife and I had the most extraordinary weekend at the Leaping Lamb Farm on a recent trip to visit our daughter at OSU. We didn't expect how amazing it would be. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, nestled in a narrow canyon surround by fields and forests with a creek running through the property. Scottie and Gregg were amazing hosts. We joined Scottie for the morning chores of feeding the chickens, goats, sheep and horses and got a chance to experience a little bit of what life on the farm is like. And we made our breakfast with eggs straight from the chicken coop that morning. How special is that! I started reading the copy of Scottie's memoir "Country Grit" on display in the cottage but didn't get a chance to finish, so I bought a copy from her to finish at home. I highly recommend it. Her journey is absolutely fascinating and compelling, and we can't wait to return to that little slice of heaven for another visit.
Wonderful retreat…cottage was perfect…staff was engaging…hikes were a bit muddy…and the animals were amazing. Highly recommended for those wanting (or needing) to step off the carousel for a few days…thank you Scottie, Greg, TK and your supporting cast of warm and fuzzy creatures.
