Detering Orchards

I visited this place for the first time today and picked some cherries! The farm is spacious and clean, and the owner lady was super kind. The prices were also really reasonable! They seem to have events every month, so I recommend checking their Facebook for updates. Also, it’s a good idea to call ahead before you go. Highly recommend!

We like to can peaches 🍑, and Deterings has some of the best. They usually have a buy 2 and get one free deal on lugs, so get you some! Their tomatoes 🍅 are good too! Support your local farms!

We had so much fun. From hay rides to hot dogs and apple cider. Great vibes. Then there is the shopping. The pies, the honey, the pumpkins, of course, and so much more. The staff were friendly. Helpful and I got the impression they loved their jobs. Our little was so excited, cow barrel ride. Small farm animals. I was on crutches, and Detering is set up well for those with limited mobility. Highly recommend..

i do not see the review i left. We purchased two boxes of prepucked cling free peaches from Cindy. i have canned for years. Cindy spent quote a bit of time praising the peaches and how careful they were picked. we had called first as we wanted to see if the peaches were ready. yet when we got there from Bend -cindy said only the two boxes were available and we could NOT pick peaches. the peaches were extremely mealy, they had dark gooey gell in the pitts. only two peaches of the entire two boxes of these peaches - had pitts come out intact. the rest were in halves and the white fibers held the half pitts in place so much so that the only way to unlodge them was to dig them out. We paid &42 per box. absolutely horrible. what was all thst gooey gel inside these peaches? i have never seen anything like this and the fibers that held the half pits were so massive that some went thru out the entire peach.

Lived here forever, my first time visiting! The cherries are incredible at the time of this posting, peaches aren't quite ready yet. Really nice folks, super friendly!
