Timberline Outfitters Guide Service

I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with with Thomas this hunt since he was with clients down south. My impression was positive with limited time to talk. I did spend 6 days with Jake and Chris who helped spot while waiting on hunters to come in. Both are great young men and hunters. They worked hard and were good to be around. I don’t know what else a person could ask for in a guide/outfitter. I hope to have the opportunity and pleasure of hunting with them and having another Nevada tag in my pocket.

Great team, drive for success, good energy and communication, all for help and for fair good time. My best elk guides i have ever met.

I can't say enough good about my experience with this outfit!! Professional, knowledgeable, and a great bang for the buck!! I knew the country we hunted intimately as I had worked there as a range rider for the Forest service 40 years ago. I also ran long traplines throughout the area, in fact I used to trap in the canyon where I got my bull. I still used their service for several reasons. One is that the daughter and son in law of a man that I consider to be one of my best friends own the business. Sam Henroid is an old trapper and rancher that has spent his whole life out in that country. Sam was my guide and we had a blast catching up while we hunted elk. Two I'm getting older and needed help getting the animal out. Thomas had some young strong guys that did that work for me. Three, times have changed some since I lived there and I appreciated the fresher perspective. I know the roads and canyons, but since I dont live there now and I drew an alternate tag two weeks before the season it didnt allow time to do a lot of scouting. The fact that I knew the country from before let's me assure you that they knew the good spots and honey holes. I stayed at the camp and the food and accommodations were first class and the comeraderie was awesome!! So to sum up, I'm certain could have muddled through by myself but I ended up with a huge bull with 60+ inch main beams and 23 inch 3rds. This is likely my last elk draw for my home state of Nevada so I chose to do it right and put myself in the best position for success so I hired a professional. Hiring this outfit is the right thing to do. They got results for me, I'm confident that they can do it for you as well!!

I think Thomas is a good guy and a great guide. I was just disappointed with my Guide that was assigned to me for my hunt. My experience would've been better, I am sure, if Thomas was able to guide me on my Elk Hunt, regardless of the outcome.
