Canyon Madness Ranch

We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay at the ranch. The pictures just don't do it justice. You really just have to see it in person. Every room has a spectacular view of the canyon. We had guided activities and individualized training for our skill levels. There are so many horses to ride and to love on. We were able to schedule our horseback riding, range time, and UTV rides on a daily basis based on the weather and how we were feeling that day. In the evening we would stargaze from the balcony or go down to the outdoor hot tub. One morning we went hiking and explored a cave. Another time we went fishing and on a different evening we explored an abandoned homestead. There was just so much to do depending on our interests. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed grooming the horses and braiding their mane and tails while my husband got to take his riding skills to the next level with guidance and training. On the range, I was able to do all the plinking I wanted until my heart was content. My husband got to shoot large caliber rifles. He even got to shoot a large steel plate in the canyon from the balcony of the lodge. They have a variety of pistols and rifles to choose from, but we brought our own as well. The food was outstanding. Chef Dane is the star of the show here. I'm also a foodie, so the meals were my favorite part of the day. Chef Dane tailored the meals based on our conversations and our individual preferences. At the end of the week, we had the privilege and honor to meet with the ranch's owner and his family. We had a such a memorable time here. If you want a vacation away from the crowds with individualized attention, this is the place to go. This was a Father's Day vacation for my husband. We highly recommend it!

You are not merely observing some of the finest landscapes you'll ever see, you are a part of them - whether hiking, horseback riding, or taking a UTV guided your with their expert guide. He also happens to be the shining star in the kitchen - a chef hired specifically to cater to your every culinary wish, tailoring exquisite meals just for you. The rooms exude quality. There have been no shortcuts in them or the entire lodge. Everything is top shelf, from the artwork and furnishings right down to the shampoo and conditoner in the shower. The lodge itself is simply breathtaking. The balcony outside of your room overlooks the Canadian River Canyon. Definitely no shortage of quality there. You'll ride quality horses. You'll shoot quality firearms. You'll be spoiled by a quality staff. And best of all, if you're lucky enough to meet Dr. Law, you'll be entertained by a quality host. Canyon Madness Ranch is a quality experience you will never forget. And in keeping with Robert Pirsig's observations - that everything you view in a photo is like looking a through a car windshield - I'm not even going to post photos. They can't convey the experience of being *in* the scene, not looking at it confined to a rectangular frame. Don't take my word for it. Come and experience Canyon Madnees Ranch for yourself.
