Great experience! Reasonably priced, excellent host, and overall a very cute setting. Very relaxing and delicious breakfast! Will be back for sure.

Hidden gem!! A wonderful and rustic get away. Food was wonderful and the owner was a real treat for the history of the place.

We found Uncle Bucks about 27 years ago while on an Old West vacation with our 4 children. We couldn’t find a motel and somehow landed at Uncle Bucks. The Old West charm was everywhere and holds a vivid memory for our family. Last year we came back with friends and found that same “feels like home” atmosphere. Yesterday we came again, ate dinner with many from the surrounding area and as we finished the evening I realized that Uncle Bucks feels like “going to Grandma’s house” I hope we can come again.

Walt and his wife Marilyn are tremendous hosts with excellent customer service skills. The lodge is a business but they are wonderful at making everyone feel at home and are extremely knowledgeable about the history of the land. They have a unique western decor with lots of family pictures with descriptions that allow you to feel welcome into there family history…Marilyn cooks 3 great meals a day, and Walt really saved me when my car got stuck in a snow drift and he came and pulled me out of the heavily compacted snow I was stuck in.
