We had such an amazing time! And we will definitely be coming back. Our kids are toddlers and really enjoyed getting to pet all the animals and also touching all the poop. I did like that they had hand sanitizer placed throughout the property. We also enjoyed learning about the different animals specific traits by talking to the volunteers there. Learning that the big bowl moonshine is ticklish and does not like to be petted too softly that he likes a little bit more firm scratches and that he thinks he’s the size of a goat. Says he was brought up as a bottle of calf along with the goats. When we were there, they had a baby otter. That was absolutely adorable to look at. That was the first place outside of Australia that I have been able to pet kangaroos in wallabies so I was very excited about that. 🦘 It was very clean and the animals seemed well taken care of. As we were leaving, they also had a basket of free heart, guard, and fleet and tick medicine for dogs that we were able to bring home for our dogs, which saved us a lot of money. That was very appreciated. ♥️ We have recommended this place to everyone we know and plan to come back soon.

Amazing place. The people are amazing dedicated and a delight to talk to. They are so knowledgeable. They have an amazing passion for animals. The animals are very used to people. You can get up close and personal with them. They even have one on ones you can pay to do and take photos with the animal. You are allowed in some animal cages to interact with them. Please be mindful of not throwing trash in the enclosures! It’s not a far drive from Omaha. They even have running water to wash your hands when you’re done. This was honestly a truly fun experience for me. It was peaceful and soothing, you could tell the animals were well cared for because none of the areas smelled at all. None of the animals looked stressed out or upset. When you approached the ones that you could pet, they were totally alright about it. Obviously you need to do it properly and with the proper respect for the animal, but the animals are well cared for. They offer gold carts at no extra cost for the disabled, which I really should have made use of that day, but I wanted to try walking the area because it was a beautiful day. The paths are all rocks, so that is something to be aware of for those with wheelchairs or walkers. It might make traversing the paths a little harder. I would 100% recommend going to Scatter Joy. By yourself just to have some time to yourself to clear your head and think while enjoying the company of animals, or with friends and family. Just please be respectful of the animals while you're there!

My friend and I had the most fun time at Scatter Joy Acres. It was well worth the drive from Omaha, and I am planning on visiting back again soon. The staff were friendly, and after they give you the basic rundown of the experience, you are able to walk around the property at your own pace & have visits with the wide variety of animals they have to offer. Joy, the owner, was riding around & taking care of the animals as we were having our fun petting & visiting with each of the animals. She stopped to say hello & even educate us on some of the animals. Reading other reviews & seeing people saying the animals are not well taken care of or in rough shape is totally false. Joy & her team takes in animals that need help/rehabilitation hence why some animals may not appear to be in perfect health. They’re working to get them healthy & living happy. I would recommend this experience to quite literally anyone & everyone. 10/10.

Wonderful Petting Zoo! Animals were all very calm and friendly (minus a goat that likes chewing on clothes 😂). Nice staff and visitors. Will definitely be back!
