We were just there for wine tasting at the Copper Bison, so I cannot speak to the rooms. Service was outstanding! Wine selection was very representative of the wonderful wines vinted across the state. (Check out the selection of whiskeys and bourbons, too!) Location would get a "five" if it was a weekend destination since it is definitely remote (paradise! Virtually no cell reception!) Since we were just there for wine tasting and to check another site off our wine passport, it was quite a jaunt (don't get me wrong, I'd go again for wine or spirits,) and with the falling rain, the roads were a bit slimy to get there. We were blessed to see the Golden Boy (namesake of the tasting room) grazing in the pasture with his Golden Calves...beautiful "fluffy cows!" I definitely recommend making the trip! You will not be disappointed!
Roxanne and Mitch have built quite a special place to stay. Canadian here, and I had such a great "out of the way" experience. It's worth the trip, vs a small town hotel. World class food (buffalo pizza) and the hot breakfast experience was a masterpiece of food preparation---some local farm fresh foods! Wow! Super enjoyed the bar downstairs, I got to chat with local folks enjoying the atmosphere. It IS out of the way, but that's what makes it great. Talented hosts, giving a great experience. People like this try harder to make it great...................Days Inn? not so much-just a place to flop.
Absolutely stunning! The lodging is top notch and the en-suite for each room is incredible. So incredibly spacious and welcoming. The food was superb. If you left a meal hungry, it was your own fault. Roxanne and Mitch are wonderful hosts!! Make sure to ask for the bbq bison pizza 🤤
Stayed here with Harvest Hosts, but hope to go back to experience the rooms. Roxanne and Mitch were very hospitable. The buffalo pizza was great (had the one on the cauliflower crust). Nebraska wines served. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings.
Get ready for an amazing adventure in the heart of the sandhills! Once in a lifetime experiences with very accommodating lodging!
