Jeremy and our guide showed our group a phenomenal time. From the time we arrived until we departed it was relaxing and some of the best hunting I have ever experienced. Our guide worked very hard to put us on the birds and it paid off. Definitely going back !
I hate to share this place, but Jeremy runs one of the best outfitters I have seen across the country. Ducks, Geese, pheasants, Cranes. World class operations, that make you feel like you’re back at hunting camp with your favorite people. Great food good people and the dogs are cool too. Can’t wait to get back out here again next year.
This outfit is just about as outstanding as you can get. Everything from the lodging, food, amenities, and, most importantly, the expertise and attitude of the guides are top of the line. Jeremy does an incredible job running the show up there and has chosen some hardcore outdoorsmen to guide clients. We had the privilege of hunting with Toby for three days and not only did the dude put us on some incredible hunting, but held our enjoyment as a top priority. I cannot speak highly enough of Toby not only in the blind as a waterfowl expert, but also as an awesome guy to hang around in the field and at the lodge. Based on what I heard from others, this is the case across the board. From having skeet shooting available upon arrival to the hot meals and great times at the lodge, to getting put on birds out in the field, Rolling Plains has thought of everything and then some.
I was part of a wedding here (Black Leg Ranch), and it was really one of the best weddings I've been to in a long time. From having the ceremony and the reception in the same building, to the stunning main lodge and cabins, there was so many things to love about the location. The people working here were also really fun and great to work with when it came to planning everything. I would definitely recommend the venue to anyone considering having an event here.
Beds are comfortable, lots of room, nice and clean place. I recommend bringing utensils for cooking and serving. The "fully stocked kitchen" had plenty of plates, bowls and silverware, but didn't have much for cups. Reservations were easy to make. Overall, I definitely recommend it... this was our second stay.
