Lone Butte Ranch

We stayed for four days while we explored Teddy Roosevelt National Park (most of our time was at the North Unit), and we loved it. The cute cabin we were in had everything we could possibly need, and we were surprised to find that there were some walking/hiking opportunities on the ranch itself. We saw mule deer, whitetails,and farm cats (no cows on our visit), and we hiked to the top of the butte for a great view. We already to come back someday!

Quiet beautiful cabins with all.the amenities, tucked away within easy distance of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park North Unit entrance. Owners are awesome. Sit and relax in the hot tub while looking at the Milky Way.

Stayed at the Cedar Post cabin here and it was the most cozy place I’ve ever stayed. Best weekend of hiking and relaxing. Super clean and well kept. Would give it 10 stars if I could.

Love this place! It is truly in the middle of nowhere yet close to civilization. Medora is about an hour away and the north unit of Theodore Roosevelt State Park is within a half hour. The cabins have all the creature comforts you need including an outdoor hot tub and grill.

We absolutely loved our stay at Lone Butte ranch! Peace and tranquility make this the perfect piece of prairie paradise. The owners are the salt of the earth. The prices are very reasonable. We will be back!
