Loved this ranch! The cabins were spread out for the most part. Our cabin was right next to another one and there is no way to cover the window in the entry door, so it wasn't very dark at night, which I love. It was quiet and peaceful, but a curtain over those windows, especially when your door is facing another one right next door would have made this even better!
We hosted our top sales event, President’s Club, at Lone Mountain Ranch in Big Sky, Montana, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. This winter wonderland escape exceeded every expectation, from the stunningly luxurious cabins to the exceptional food served morning, noon, and night. The variety of winter activities felt endless, creating unforgettable moments for everyone who attended. One of the most magical highlights was the horse-drawn carriage ride through the snow to a candlelit dinner, truly something out of a dream. Every detail was flawless. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting to celebrate and reward our team. A solid 10 out of 10, Lone Mountain Ranch is a must-experience destination.
This was our family’s second visit to Lone Mountain Resort, and once again, it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and wonderfully familiar. The staff is truly exceptional—so kind, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make your stay special. There are so many great activities for the kids, and one of the things we love most is how safe and open the ranch feels. Our kids could just run around, explore, and be kids, which is such a rare and special thing these days. It really gives you peace of mind as a parent. The food deserves a special mention—it’s absolutely phenomenal. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared and delicious, adding another layer of enjoyment to the whole experience. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Lone Mountain is a true gem for families.
Beautiful ranch, great setting – but disappointing event management. We visited Lone Mountain Ranch for the Tuesday Night Rodeo. The setting is stunning, the atmosphere authentic, and the cowboys we spoke to were friendly and told us we could buy tickets on-site. We arrived dressed appropriately, were respectful, and had already spent time (and money) on food and drinks. Yet the event manager asked us to leave, despite us being fully willing to pay the full ticket price. She claimed it was a private event, even though staff had previously told us it was public. A bit of flexibility and hospitality would’ve gone a long way - especially toward honest guests who simply wanted to enjoy the show and support the event. The ranch is great, but event management’s rigid attitude left us disappointed.
Possible Google Review Lone Mountain Ranch We recently spent a night a Lone Mountain Ranch, what a treat! The ranch is beautifully situated near Big Sky Resort. On the property they have an outpost. stables, walking trails, fire pits, and the cutest goats meandering around the property. The staff couldn’t be more kind or helpful. We were there to celebrate my 56th birthday. We stayed in the B-K Cabin. The cabin was beautifully appointed with plush robes, sumptuous bedding, a large fireplace, and a cooper soaking tub. The small touches made such an impression, a Dyson blow dryer, warm coffee delivered to your door in the morning and freshly baked cookies dropped off before bed! That evening we ate on property at Horn and Cantle. It has an upscale menu with local additions that are unique to the area. The bison short ribs, smoked trout and elk meatball were all so delicious! If you are looking to get away for a luxurious weekend, where you want to have access to beautiful hikes, trail rides etc. check out Lone Mountain Ranch. We will be back!
