I have been hunting for 21 years and this is the absolute best experience I have ever had. There are more deer here than any place I have ever seen. The accommodations are top notch. The Chef - food is amazing! Last night I slept like a baby. This morning I got up late at 6:30am got in the deer blind at about 6:50 and must have seen 15 or so big ones this morning alone. I got a good size 8 point buck it Scored around 150" and this is what I would call a "small" buck for the shooters out here. Look at the pic, this is no small deer. But out here, they have real good genetics and some of the deer are easily over 200" The lodge is really impressive and sits over the lake. There is a good size lake house with a lake that is about 40 acres. This ranch is about 1500 acres with lots and lots of trails with lots of deer. This is top notch, fair chase hunting. NO BS shooting in pen. I actually missed my first buck yesterday and was really beating myself up. The guide said it would be ok and actually said it was a good thing I missed cause the buck was too small. I couldn't believe he was telling me a big 8 point was too small but he was right. I got a 146 class 8 point today and I am super stoked. If you want an awesome hunting experience and a trip of a lifetime, I strongly recommend you check out The Hunting Grounds in Willow Springs Missouri. I cant wait to come back. I'm really impressed with this ranch and team who runs it.

This past weekend I was given the privilege of being able to attend " The Hunting Grounds" in Missouri. I have never been anywhere like this before, I can tell you that if ever you are presented with a trip to this location, jump on it. From the world-class deer to the scenery is just a few reasons to go. My biggest review of this place is the people who are their for you. I was able to hunt with the guide named Chance, guys and girls you will cry laughing while hunting with this hoot. A great down to earth country boy who I advise you to listen to when it comes to deer. Next, the other hunting guides, Heath and Steve, you wont find any better guys and just their ability to help and get you a deer of a life time. Now for the owner of the business, Bo. This guy is there to make sure you leave with a smile, and he will make sure this happens at any cost. The most humble person to own a business you will ever meet. Last not least is Bo's mother, she is responsible for the cooking and you will not eat anywhere any better than when she rolls out of the kitchen with one of the many dishes you will get to enjoy. All in all, if you get this chance then GO!, you will never regret the deer and the people. It may take me a while to get back here but I will be back. Oh and getting a 200" whitetail at 24 1/4" wide never hurts either!!!

Bo got the Deer for sure, Steve is top notch guide and Bo momma is the best cook ever. Beds are comfortable, all bed rooms have tv in them. Great room has pool table , Dart board , real wood fire place and big screen tv. Stands are very comfortable. I know some folks say I’m not going to hunt in a high fence , well I promise you it’s not easy , I hunted 2 1/2 days, first evening seen about 17 deer , first morning on 2 nd day seen 8 deer , 2nd evening seen 9 deer no bucks that I was looking for. 3rd day 2nd morning didn’t see a single deer. 3rd day at lunch we stalked a deer and ibex. 3rd evening I seen 4 deer and shot my 2 Nd deer which was the one originally wanted to shoot. Its not easy I hunted hard and sat in stand for hrs. The deer act like the same as the deer I’ve hunted every where else. Doe blow and stomp. Bucks and doe come out and look at stands. Bucks fight and check doe. Its 500 acres lots of stands to hunt out of I seen bucks from 80 inches to 230 inches. I would take my 5 year old and 85 year old grandfather to this place it’s a place for all ages. They have stands for handicap also. Back to the food , you get breakfast after morning hunt , lunch and a jam out dinner. All home made food.
