I hunted wild turkey the first 3 days of Missouri's 2025 wild turkey season as a winner of one of Turkeys For Tomorrow's raffle hunts. The lodge generously donated the hunt to Turkeys For Tomorrow. I saw jakes and hens, but no gobblers presented themselves for harvest. We heard lots of gobblers, but evidently, they were busy with the hens. The food prepared by Ms. Tammy was fabulous! She made many of the dishes from scratch. She was friendly and accommodated my husband's dietary needs. She is the best! The lodge itself is spartan and dated. The beds in room 1 need an update. You could feel the springs, and they poked your bony parts. I would bring something padded to go between you and the mattress and your favorite pillow. The "man cave" where the guides and guests hang out had the turkey channel on repeat. They have a refrigerator for guests and a wonderful ice machine. The lodge also has a fire pit for guests and guides to enjoy. The turkey hunting took place on the edges of leased corn fields. Our walks to the hunting spots were always classified as "about 400 yards." The walking with all of your gear wasn't too bad as long as you didn't have a long uphill trek. Even our uphill trek wasn't that bad. Michael Caputo communicated very well about all aspects of our trip, and it is evident that he cares about his clients.

Food was great, Cody put me on nice 10 point the second day of my hunt. The house we stayed in was very disappointing though. We showed up expecting to be staying in one of the lodges advertised on the website and instead were put in a very run down house a few miles up the road from the main lodge. Beds were horrible and had to clean rat poison off of beds. Rats and dead bugs were everywhere. Overall I was there to hunt and enjoyed the time hunting but was severely disappointed with the accommodations provided. Entire staff was nice.

This is my second time hunting with Cody and his team. This experience was just like before, nothing but professionalism, awesome hunts, and incredible camp camaraderie. We will continue to support this organization and hunt with Northwest Missouri Bucks and Beards Outfitters yearly. We are already planning our trip for 2024.

I had an amazing experience at Northwest Missouri Bucks & Beards. If you are looking for a welcoming and fun deer camp environment this is the place to be. It was great to meet hunters from all over the country who came to chase some big deer. Every night we said a prayer together before dinner and hung out around the fire. The staff worked hard to make sure every hunter was set up in the best spots. I had only sat for 2 hours before I saw my first Bucks come strolling in on my first morning sit. After sitting all day I began to see buck after buck come into the field toward the evening. Finally I landed my biggest buck with a bow to date. I couldn’t believe I got it done the first day! The whole camp celebrated with me when I got back. The staff took care of the whole process and even drove my deer to the processor. Could not say enough about how grateful I am for the staff and guides for all they did to make my hunt a success.

My dad and I have been here the last 2 years and they really make it feel like a family place. The cooking is beyond amazing! All of the guides are very helpful and when you tag out, really cool to hang out with. There are plenty of bucks and does running around! I hope my dad wants to come back because I definitely do!
