Midwest Gamebirds and Shooting Preserve

I had an outstanding experience at this preserve, which is professionally run by Mike. From the very beginning, he was incredibly helpful, answering all of our questions before our arrival. The facility is top-notch and welcoming, with a cozy fire ready to greet you when you arrive. What truly sets this place apart is the quality of the fields and birds. This isn’t your typical game farm—it feels like a wild bird hunting experience. The birds were impressively wild, large, and strong flyers, which made the day both challenging and rewarding. We were a group of three hunters with two dogs, and we had a fantastic outing. We harvested our birds and even managed to scratch one extra. Everything about the day was seamless and enjoyable. I highly recommend this game farm to anyone looking for an exceptional upland hunting experience.

Great place to shoot a few birds. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of large fields and active birds with reasonable prices. I went for the first time today and already booked another trip next weekend. Don't overlook the chucker they're just as fun, maybe even more so with a pointer. There's a sign on the door that they have water & pop to purchase also. There is a porta-potty on sight near the office.

Midwest Game Birds is the hidden gem of game farms. Great fields with good cover. Quality birds at awesome prices. No membership required. Family run operation that will customize to your needs. Whether you are training a new pup, a large group looking for lots of shooting opportunities, or a couple of hunters with a dog looking to get out, they can set up the hunt for you. They also tend to have birds late season as well so if the wild bird season is done but you and your four legged companion are not… come on out for a very memorable hunt.

I would highly recommend Midwest Gamebirds to anyone looking for a realistic hunt with quality birds. The cover is great and provides a good challenge for dogs and the hunters. Kris and Mike are great hosts and run a really good operation. I have been a patron for many years and will continue to come back. Prices are very reasonable compared to other places. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed!
