New Branch Ranch

We had an amazing riding experience at New Branch Ranch, 100% recommend it! We’ve been able to run and trot with the horses, in the area near the ranch, and saw beautiful flowers, even a snake and a raccoon - and the beautiful rescue horses chilling out there. The staff is extremely nice, willing to teach and tell about the ranch and the horses. It’s a 20mn Uber drive from downtown New Orleans, totally worth it! We’ll come back :-)

Went on a morning ride with my boyfriend and everyone was so nice!! The horses were beautiful and knew what to do on the trail. Everything was explained perfectly and the trail was so fun and peaceful to be on. The workers went above and beyond to make sure we were having fun, 10/10 recommend!!

I had SO MUCH FUN OUT THERE!!! Melissa and Tracy gave good instruction, made sure I understood & could perform it with my horse Spicy(a sweetie). I was blessed to have the guide and ride all to myself on such a gorgeous day. She always asked and made sure in was comfortable before trying things then we pushed it out there! Slow, fast, and in between and while giving me background on the ranch. I loved every bit of it and will be back for sure! Thanks ladies!!!🐎❤️🐎

First of all HUGE shout out to Melissa for making our trail ride possible. Despite all the snow melt from the snowstorm, conditions were fair enough for us to ride! We had a fantastic time. I have a silly goal of trying to ride in every state and was so excited to be able to cross Louisiana off the list!! The horses are well cared for and so clearly loved. Jai and Melissa are skilled horse women and trail guides. We got there a bit early so we got to feed treats and love on some of the horses prior to our ride. I rode Rio and my boyfriend rode Spicy. It was so much fun and we got to see some wildlife as well (armadillo, rabbit, hawk, vultures). If you’re visiting the New Orleans area and are curious about riding a horse - New Branch is a great experience for your first trail ride. Thank-you Melissa and Jai!!!!!

Went for family ride with inexperienced niece, had a great ride. Horses are well mannered and Ian will let you know each horses peculiarities. If you like riding, (western) I recommend.
