I really was skeptic about writing this review. I selfishly would like to keep this precious gem a secret. Steve and Margie are two fine folks who have a great spot in KS. The hospitality is second to none. The hunting is exactly that. My friend killed a nice rack buck and I passed on a nice rack buck that I should have shot. Steve will put you on deer. I saw several shooters however I was hunting rifle with a muzzleloader(my fault). He has nice bow stands set and knows his land. I hope to go every year but know the lottery will not allow it. If you are looking for the spot this is it. His box stands are strategically placed and are nice. Looking forward to my next trip.(NEWS FLASH) This is an add on to the prior. I had an opportunity to go back and hunt 2 more days with Steve. I hunted hard and passed on another nice 8. Different stand and different rack buck. Hospitality again 100 percent. Margie had the baked cookies which some made it back to NC. Steve and I plotted before and after each sit. He was very informative on where we could get into with the best winds. We were successful on the final sit and had a nice 10 with some mass come out just before sunset. Had 8 doe and 1 buck in that sit. Again can't wait to get back to Haven next year. If you are bird guy is definitely your bird man too. Happy Hunting

Excellent place to stay, hunt and completely enjoy the outdoors. Fairly priced with excellent value. I expected the pricing to be much higher for the experience we had. Other hunt lodges in the area cant accommodate the size of group that Steve can. Easy access and simple to find if you come in from out of town. Hard to stay away from if you live close. If you want the best semi guided hunt Steve is the Man! We first met Steve several years back and we helped him with some predator population control on his turkey hunt lease and now we hunt pheasants, quail & the occasional chukar partridge with him. Both wild birds and controlled shooting make for a fun hunt any way you like it. Irish Creek is set right in the middle of a great watershed district and there are always birds. If you don't have a great time then you have problems because Steve and his team bent over backwards to make our experience one of the best hunts of my life! Leave the wife & kids @ home and bring the guys for a great outdoors hunt lodge experience! 5 Star ✫✫✫✫✫ Positive Feedback All The Way!

I have been turkey hunting on Steve's properties many times for several years. I am an experienced hunter so I was self guided. However, Steve has always taken the time to drive me to the properties beforehand, describe where to go, etc. I have been very successful hunting this area and on 2 different occasions even harvested 2 gobblers on the same day. The lodging is great and Steve will try very hard to make your turkey hunt successful.

For several years I have enjoyed walking Kansas farm fields with an old SXS while watching dogs work pheasants courtesy of Irish Creek Outfitters. The owner, Steve and his wife Margy manage a first class operation from the spotless, well equipped and very comfortable lodging to Steve's professional management of the hunt and guides. Steve has always been a very cordial host that does his sincere best to ensure your experience at ICO is a good one. I would recommend ICO without hesitation, have thoroughly enjoyed past hunts, look forward to my hunt next month and to some delicious Amish comfort food.

@ the review left by Damon Gettier - I cant hardly believe what I'm reading. Its COLD KANSAS DECEMBER Deer Hunting not Glamping! Stop being a weenie fair weather hunter and don't complain about cold windy weather and digital satellite cameras! If you need to drive in the field to the stand instead of quietly walking in from the road and satellite/cell cameras 5 months in advance to find deer in Kansas then you are seriously incompetent as a hunter. I bet you use a .270 too. The great people at Irish Creek Lodge don't deserve the review you left. They made our hunt one we will never forget! We plan to come back for 2 weekend hunts next year! Anyone who reads this should seriously consider Steve for their hunting and lodge needs. We loved the lodge and the birds flew great! All of us had a great time. See you next season!
