Idaho Guest Ranch-Lazy R Ranch

I can't say enough good about this family owned operation. We worked together for 14 months to plan a gathering of over 150 campers and the Ranch was responsive, helpful and nformative the entire time. The facility is so peaceful and pretty, every one of our attendees had nothing but good things to say about the venue. The family was always available when needed. If you want to have a boring horseback ride this is for you. 1 beginner rider should not dictate the entire group’s adventure. The scenery is beautiful but I got stuck at the front and my friend was several horses back. The guide up front spent the hour long ride chatting to only the new rider and my friend got to listen to a group of ladies gossiping with the rear guide about someone they all knew. The guides we not professional and did not create a group environment of fun.

Lovely venue and location! Just the right balance between rustic and comfortable. Importantly, the roads are well-maintained, but we should probably have left the sedan at home. :-) Close to the Payette and its rapids, and surrounded by forest with photo-demanding vistas and wildflowers. So many wildflowers, in fact, that if the place ever has a slow wedding season (which I doubt), they could host field trips for plant and wildlife lovers, including universities. Fair warning, however: get gas before leaving Horseshoe Bend!

This was our second time going out riding here. Owner & staff are wonderful. They take their time with introduction & answer any questions you might have. Absolutely beautiful property!!

I second shot a wedding at the Lazy R Ranch and it was an awesome venue! They have an indoor section in the barn that can be used for the reception. It has a few rooms and restrooms for getting ready and a kitchen to store the food and baked goods. Within walking distance, they have a beautiful ceremony space surrounded by trees.The owners and helpers around the farm are super nice and very accommodating! The only thing I would be aware of when wanting to book as a venue, getting to the ranch can be a little difficult. You can access it two ways, but one of the ways (near Banks), is up a pretty steep, long dirt road. The paths around the ranch are all dirt too, so not a big deal, but something you might want to know! Overall, a lovely spot to host a wedding that feels remote and in nature!
