I truly enjoyed my one-night stay at Granite Creek Guest Ranch. I came to Boise solo for work and arranged my trip so I could spend the weekend exploring. As an Atlanta native who spent many summers in Minnesota, arriving at the ranch felt like coming home on so many levels. The cabin was exactly what I was looking for—comfortable, peaceful, and well off the main road. It was wonderfully quiet in the evening, making for a truly restful stay. If I ever make it back to this area, I would definitely stay here again—and this time, bring my wife along. The ranch seems perfectly suited for both couples and families. I didn’t have time to go horseback riding or fishing, but it’s clear the ranch offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. My only regret is not getting to meet Peter, but I understand that ranch life is demanding, and I truly appreciate the hospitality nonetheless. Also, a very reasonable rate for my one night stay.
Granite Creek Ranch offers a 5-star horseback riding experience in a breathtaking setting. The ranch is incredibly beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature with stunning views—perfect for a relaxing and unforgettable escape. The guides are knowledgeable, friendly, and make the ride both fun and safe. Trails wind through stunning landscapes, giving a true taste of the West. An unforgettable adventure for families or anyone looking to connect with nature on horseback. My daughter and son had their first horseback riding experience here, and it was amazing. The staff was kind and patient, and the gentle horses made it fun and safe. Highly recommended for a peaceful and scenic ride!
Granite Creek Ranch gave us an unforgettable horseback riding experience! Our guide Sierra was kind, knowledgeable, and made the ride so enjoyable. Her dog Louise followed us the whole way, such a sweet touch! The mountain views were breathtaking, and after the ride, you are allowed to use their kayaks and small row boats on the lake. They even let my daughter rinse off her horse, which made her day! The ranch is well set up with clean bathrooms, cozy cabins for rent, and they accept cash, cards, and even Venmo, super convenient. The entire experience was peaceful, thoughtful, and fun. Highly recommend!
Samantha was our guide, she was great and all the horses came with there own personalities 😀 we did the 1.5 hour trip. Definitely worth it vs an hour. When we were finished we had our picnic lunch there and she said we could hang out and kayak, but we left after eating. Would highly recommend! Looks like they have cute little sleeping cabins also.
We did the Alpine trail with GCR and it was such an amazing, beautiful, and peaceful experience! Samantha and Grace were amazing trail guides! We got to see a little bit of the dogs in action herding the cows and got some bull fighting action on the trail as well! They do their best to place you on a horse that you will be comfortable with! Cannot recommend them enough and will definitely do again if I make a trip up north! Thank you for the experience GCR
