Back Forty Farm & Ranch

What a cool place to visit! We went there for a field trip. We got to feed and pet goats, sheep, chickens and a llama! They had kangaroos to see and those really cute fuzzy cows! They also have therapy horses but we didn't get a chance to visit them. They do a huge garden and in the summer they put on a farmers market. The people who run it are so kind and you can tell that they love what they do.

Back Forty Farms is a perfect source for the finest Organic, non-GMO freeze-dried Chicken Eggs, Veggies and Fruits. Their freeze-dried eggs are "whole" in that they contain both the yolk and the Albumen (egg white). They also offer their own line of organic, farm raised, raw honey, and freeze-dried, organic Baby Food, among other products. They grow most of their products right on the farm, which is located in Idaho. These guys are the real deal as far as fresh and organic is concerned, which is becoming more rare these days. I've shopped with them for several years, and have always enjoyed their kind and thorough customer service via phone or chat. You will not be disappointed if you check them out!

We are so grateful we were able to sign up for BFF CSA this year! From Ron and Heather introducing us to the animals to Lisa's charming display of veggies and delicious recipes it is apparent that this family puts its heart into their farm. The vegetables are absolutely beautiful and it's fun to experience the variety as the season progresses. The eggs we get are incredible-those really yellow yolk from happy chickens :) We are having a wonderful experience learning how to use them and each week learning a little more about farming. Heading weekly to the farm is like a mini vacation for us-a welcome escape to the country! We love the model of a CSA partnership and we are incredibly happy Back Forty Farms offered this opportunity! Looking forward to what's ahead!

I bought some freeze dried veggies, fruits, and eggs from Back Forty Farms to put aside in case things got very expensive and hard to get. The Idea of 20yrs plus storage was also very appealing. Happy to say these are absolutely wonderful. I just opened a bag of Green Beans and substituted some chicken bone broth for 1 part water. I have to say the dried beans were great right out of the bag as snacks. If you camp a lot or spend time away from home hunting or fishing, Try these. small, light and take up little room.
