This was such a wonderful place to stay while attending a seminar at K9 Sensus right around the corner. From the email I received at the time I made my reservation online, to the heads up text and phone call on the day of my arrival, throughout our entire stay, and literally to the hour I was leaving, Janna was so warm and welcoming and went above and beyond the typical duties of a campground host. On our second night there, a severe thunderstorm with the potential for tornados was predicted, and she offered us shelter inside her own house if we ended up needing it, while also making sure we knew that the inside horse stalls and equipment barn were also available for us to use. We did turn out to need the inside horse stall shelter, since my little camper was rocking back and forth a little too precariously in the wind! The afternoon I was leaving, she came out on short notice and spent an hour of her own time getting down on the ground and under my trailer hitch with me, helping make 100% sure my camper and car were all hooked up properly (this was only my fifth trip out with it, and the last time was 2 months ago, so I'm still learning), so my dog and I wouldn't die driving back home, or at the least so the camper wouldn't go careening off the highway on its own - this even while she was preparing for shoulder surgery the next week! Even though it was right on a highway, it was so quiet and peaceful the entire time with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. I can't say enough good things about our experience there, and we will definitely be back the next time we attend a seminar at K9 Sensus, hopefully soon!

I was traveling from Minnesota to Kansas with two horses when I contacted Janna at Singing Mesa. I was looking for a place to stop overnight, but also wanted to get a quick ride in. Janna was SO helpful. She is very welcoming. She told me everything I needed to know about staying at SMR (Janna happened to be out of town on her own horse camping trip). The ranch is very neat and organized. I used two of the outside covered pens for my mares. I was able to pull my LQ trailer right across from the pens. There as electric and water available and nice picnic tables. I am super happy the pens are covered with sturdy metal roofs because there was quite a storm and rain that evening. My mares were nice and dry the next morning. Riding: I had a nice ride through open fields and saw turkeys, deer and raccoons. The trails are marked with ribbons, but Janna told me I was welcome to ride off-trail and explore. That's what I did. There are a few water crossings and pretty scenery. I think the pricing is very reasonable for such new and safe accommodations. If I ever need a place to overnight in the area again, I would absolutely stay at Singing Mesa Ranch!

I highly recommend Singing Mesa! My fiancé and I decided we wanted to camp with our horses, of course last minute, on Labor Day weekend. Jana was awesome to work with and had a spot for our tent and horses! Upon arrival she let us know that the cabin they had was available due to a cancellation, so we decided to stay in it. It is the perfect size and you have your own area away from the rest of the campers and their horses. The view is absolutely incredible and the hospitality is even better! We still have one more day left and I’m excited to explore the rest of the trails they have created on this beautiful property!

Singing Mesa is a wonderful place to arena and trail ride, attend a clinic, board, and camp. The owners are extremely knowledgeable about equine health and management. They make every effort to ensure that horses and riders are well taken care of. They are extremely responsive, and Jana has supported my daughter in all of her equine activities from cowgirl queen preparation, to opening her arena and providing desensitizing objects for the horses, introduction to calf roping, and so much more. The facility is beautiful and well kept. It is family friendly and boarded horses are tended to like they are at a spa. Highly recommend!

I attended a 5 day seminar for my dog around the corner from the ranch. I found out last minute I couldn't stay where the seminar was taking place and called the Singing Mesa Ranch. I was able to get right in. This is a great place to stay and the hospitality couldn't have been better. Next time I'm doing dog training in Lucas IA. I will stay at the Singing Mesa Ranch
