My buddy and I had a great experience at Black Tine. When we booked the trip we were advised that the guide would contact us the day before the Hunt. Trent contacted us as said and was ready to answer any questions we had. The morning of the hunt, Trent was waiting for us and after an explanation of what to expect and what was expected, he took us each to our stands. My buddy tagged one in the morning but not me. During the afternoon hunt, I was able to tag 2 hogs. Despite one of my hogs leaving little to no blood trail, Trent didn't give up and was able to locate it. Although I was successful in my harvest, I would have enjoyed my time there just as much. For those leaving negative reviews, hunting is hunting and you will not always come up successful. In my opinion, the guide and hunting location have little to do with your success. Hit the range and be an accurate with you shot placement before heading out to hunt and expect to the possibility of not seeing anything sometimes. Overall, Trent was professional and knows his stuff. I was not looking for hugs and kisses on my hunts, rather, a knowledgeable and professional guide and that's what we got. We will definitely be back to Black Tine Outfitters. -Fred
Booked a hunt with them for my 50th birthday with my brother in law and couldn't ask for a better day in the woods. Showed up on time and went over the rules for the land and straight to the blinds. Trent was awesome with both of us and probably liked that we were self sufficient when it came to understanding this type of hunt. We went out in the morning and enjoyed just being with nature and collecting our thoughts and saw a ton of squirrels playing. Then we came out and ran and got some lunch for a couple hours and then headed back in for an afternoon hunt. Let's say it wasn't disappointing since both of us were successful with a hog each. Trent came and got us and we had some laughs and good conversation while he took care of our harvest like a champ. I would highly recommend planning a hunt with this outfit but please understand that this is a non tall gate area and don't have the expectations of a guaranteed animal cause that's not how wildlife is. Also I have read some reviews by a couple people and know from experience those people were not hunters that knew or respected the true outdoors. So take those reviews with a grain of salt. Remember you are on another man's land so be respectful and listen. Hopefully I will be back soon. Keep up the great work there cause from the looks of it there is a ton of work and money in this setup. Also thanks again for the hospitality from Trent.
Had a great time with the fellas out at the spot, did an all day hunt and very much enjoyed it. Trent did an amazing job tracking down our second hog in the dark of night. Quick, efficient and to the point… a true professional at what he does! Many kudos to him for making the experience as seamless as possible! Will be sure to be back soon.
My first hunt with this outfitter was great. Plenty of hogs at both the blinds Trent put me on. Both before and after I got a nice feeder hog Trent was extremely helpful and patient. Answered every question I could think to ask directly and with plenty of information to support his instructions. Follow the rules and remember you're on someone else's property and you should have a great time. Can't wait to be back for deer season.
We did a 4 day hunt, didn’t get a deer unfortunately but each sit we had animals in front of us. Staff was excellent and property is gorgeous. I took a different one of my children each day and the team was awesome about putting us in a place that was comfortable for the kids but still in a great area with good opportunity. We came away with a big boar. Needless to say that because of the staff, property and experience my children are hooked and can’t wait to go back. Well done Trent and your team. Thank you for a great experience!
