If you are looking for a relaxing place to enjoy the White River National Forest and the Flat Tops, this is it! Lots of cabins, TV and camping spots in a truly scenic spot, right by the Papoose Creek. Roaming chickens, ducks as well as pigs and horses make it a fun experience. There is also a playground for kids, and the place is super dog-friendly. We stayed in one of the cabins. All come fully equipped with very comfortable beds. Super friendly team, very knowledgeable about the area. We will be back!

Solid overall, if you're looking for a high-end resort, this isn't it. However, the RV spots along the creek are nice with full hookups, and the cabins are old school rustic and most had bathrooms. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

This is a beautiful slice of Colorado splendor nestled in this quiet mountain getaway. The best part of the Ute Lodge is the customer care from the host and their team. As I was there camping by myself for the very first time, everyone would check on me multiple times a day. I was delighted to find that there was a bathhouse with a shower and flushing toilets, typically not included on a camping journey! I love the community fire and the peacefulness. Everyone there was so friendly. Definitely worth a return trip!

I stayed two nights at the Old Baldy yurt with a group of friends, we had a fabulous time! Gorgeous views and sunsets, great hiking nearby. Very peaceful, cozy accommodations. Karl and Mona are the sweetest, most gracious and generous hosts. Highly recommend Ute Lodge, I will be back!

Such an amazing place! It is secluded and some cell providers don’t work (AT&T works best). Private lake that you can fish, paddle board, and kayak on. Basketball/pickle ball court, badminton/volleyball net, tetherball, sandbox, and swing-set. There are multiple hiking trails right next the property and a few more just down the road. There are 10 RV sites, 2 tent sites, and 8 cabins! There is a bathhouse that campers can use. Fires are not allowed at the individual sites, but there is a communal fire pit. Which brings a sense of community to the whole place. It’s absolutely beautiful and we love it here. Karl and Mona are amazing hosts and are some of the kindest people! Definitely recommend staying here. It is 30 miles from town so anything you need for your trip, you’ll need to get before hand so you’re not making a ton of trips to town.
