Colorado Trails Ranch

While I did not stay here for lodging, I most definitely want to after my initial experience with horseback riding. I had a two hour scenic/panoramic ride with Josh and spectacular is the perfect word for the experience. He was awesome to ride with and kept the ride lively through thoughtful conversation, laughs, taking photos, ensuring we were comfortable the entire time. Upon arriving we were greeted by Keith who manages the ranch, then Thomas and Josh got us set up on the horses. They were thorough in their information and demonstration, patient and understanding for a first time rider, and ensured we had a good experience the whole way through. Holly, the barn manager, and Genie, an office assistant, were equally as amazing and helped make sure everything got squared away quickly all while accommodating us on atypical scheduling. Genie even came out and introduced herself after the many phone calls we had. Truly just an amazing experience and will most definitely be back. In addition to that, I love the trails they offer, they seem more dynamic and interesting. Plus competitive pricing which is another big factor as to why we went with them. Awesome location, awesome staff, wonderfully trained horses, totally perfect experience!

Just returned from an awesome week at the Ranch.. This was to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary so we were very lucky to be able to include our children and grandchildren. A total of 10 people ages 74-11. I honestly cannot say enough good things about the ranch and the staff. We rode horses, went river rafting, flying fishing, went to the rodeo in town 1 night, took a hike, went shooting and swimming AND had plenty of time to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The food was superb!! They are very careful with dietary issues and even fixed something special for our youngest one time. There were 2 evening cookouts and 1 breakfast cookout. The horses were excellently matched to the guests and you had the same horse all week. I could write a book about how wonderful our week was. 5+ star all the way around. But I'll end by saying "Thank you Colorado Trails Ranch" and if you ever get the chance to go, DO IT-GO!!!

Didn't stay here. We were working in the area and had the chance to drive through it. Looks like a great place to vacation and learn something at the same time. Would highly recommend you give it a try.

Earlier this summer we had the absolute pleasure of visiting the ranch! It was an amazing experience to say the least. The staff at the ranch were so amazing, they truly care about the guests, the ranch, the animals and their co workers! They made our trip even better than it could have been. We enjoyed many horse back rides, fly fishing trips, great time to relax and of course some amazing food! The horses are well cared for and the wranglers are great! The fly fishing guides were awesome they really know their stuff! There are plenty of places to relax or take a nice hike or walk! The grounds are so beautiful! The food was so great, well thought out delicious meals. We also noticed they will adjust for dietary needs! I truly believe this is one of the best vacations you can take not only in Colorado but in the world. The all inclusive weeks at the ranch provide a great value, we had an amazing time! We are returning next weekend for a 3 night stay and we can’t wait!

We did a road trip with my friend( 4 European girls) and to be honest, it was one of the best moment of the trip ! Everybody was so nice ! we had a great time riding the horses and Kristie our guide was more than great, we learned a lot about the history and culture of the land, who lived here and how. We even took a quick hike to see those little room underground. It was a good moment, there’s no question needed, If you want to have a great time experiencing the country side of the US, that’s definitely the best place to go !!
