Hunewill Ranch

We had an amazing week at Hunewill Guest Ranch in Bridgeport… It’s the oldest working guest ranch in California!  It was intense riding and relaxation… That means you drink coffee, eat a nice meal, go for a ride, read a book, take a nap, then rinse and repeat. It is really peaceful because everything‘s included so you don’t have to bring a wallet or tip anybody. My favorite part was not cooking, cleaning or doing dishes for a full week!  The riding is pretty intense, like 4 to 5 hours per day and a lot of trotting and cantering through the meadows. It’s great for parents because they have babysitters for the kids that are too young to ride. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a rejuvenatory horse vacation! 

Love this place! Great family focus lots of amazing riding and family activities. Also connected with a ranch that has been working for a very long time!

Kent and I cannot talking about Hunewill Ranch. With beautiful horses, breathtaking landscaping, new friends, relaxed hosts, yummy food and starry nights, what could be more perfect?

Such a wonderful ranch and riding experience! The staff and wranglers were so thoughtful and helpful throughout our stay. Wonderful place for a holiday ‘away from it all’. Not to mention the views and scenery which was just stunning!
