This 100% city girl found The Ranch through online searches. I booked a 3-night stay to unwind from a rough 6 weeks of work and personal challenges. It was JUST what I needed. I visited during the slow period and one night I was the only guest. The service was personal and outstanding. I got to go horseback riding - first time in more than 20 years. I went shooting - first time and overcoming a life-long fear. It's a working cattle ranch in all its rustic charm. The food was terrific. The staff was genuine and personable. A rare experience. Someone said The Ranch is the best kept secret in Southern Arizona. That just might be true - a true gem. Thank you - Patricia, Christina and Michael specifically!
Overall, we had a nice time but cut our trip short. This place has incredible potential. The staff were all friendly and hard working. The food was delicious and the activities we went to were great. It seemed that they were short-handed, and many of the activities that were listed were unavailable during our stay. We would have had to spend most of our time in our room. The tv was in our room was in bad shape and the picture had a double image. The pool had swarms of bees and wasps, making it unusable. I would go back again if we were able to attend all of the activities as listed.
My daughter and I absolutely loved the horseback riding. The room was cute and mostly clean. The people working there were quite friendly, but this was expensive--close to $1,700 for one room for 2 nights, including some of the worst food I've ever had. 5 stars for the horses and wranglers. 4 stars for the cute western town feel of the rooms. Zero stars for the food.
We came from Delaware to spend the weekend for our birthdays. We had a fabulous time! We loved all the horseback riding. Everything was perfect. Great service from everyone! We even got to enjoy cowboy breakfast and coffee by the fire. Would definitely come back in a hard beat! Thanks to Adaya and Jason who was patient with us and riding!
For me this was my dream vacation, Riding horses on a cattle ranch, we had the best horses Sheriff and Marshall!! The wranglers were amazing! Christina took us on an awesome half day ride where we got to see lots of baby calves and a deep mine shaft and some beautiful scenery and Sheriff and Marshall played in a pool of water! Then Adaya took us on a UTV ride where we got to feed the cattle, that was so fun to watch as the cows mooed and ran behind us to the feeding spot! Oh what a blessing of a time! The food was delicious the bartender was a great conversationalist and has an awesome beard too! The manager, well she treats everyone like family! I can't wait to come back! Thanks Y'All
