Chris McCotter was able to help me have an astounding late rifle elk hunt! I just started hunting a couple of years ago and luckily drew an elk tag. I don’t have a lot of experience and knew it would talk several years to draw this tag again so I decided to go with a guide. After researching several outfitters I found Shadow Valley and liked their approach. I filled out the contact form and the same day I got a call from Ben Brochu. He spent a lot of time talking to me to see what I was looking for and my experience. I got set up with Chris McCotter and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. His attitude and experience really made the hunt. It was a tough hunt and we put in the work. He never gave up and that kept me going. Ultimately I got a great first bull and first elk! Pat and his team were great on the late rifle bull hunt. Everyone in camp was welcoming and very knowledgeable about the unit. It was a great experience and if I am blessed enough to draw another tag, I will definitely be booking again with Pat and his team.
