Dave Brown Outfitters -Orvis Endorsed Arizona Quail Hunting Guides

I recently had an incredible fishing trip with Dave Brown Outfitters on the lower Bow River in Alberta. My guide Dan Coledi was absolutely amazing. This was my first time EVER fly fishing and Dan went above and beyond to make this a great experience. He was clear, thorough and patient with my crash course fly lesson before hitting the river. The highlight of the adventure was landing a stunning 25 inch brown trout. The fight was intense, showcasing the fish's power and agility, but the thrill of landing such a magnificent catch was unmatched. I can't wait for my next adventure with Dave Brown Outfitters.

Just back from 3 days of hunting with Dave Brown Outfitters out of Patagonia. Dave provides a high quality wild bird hunt. We had excellent guides (Eric and Kevin) who knew the vast areas and consistently found scaled and Gambel’s quail in the desert from dedicated scouting. These are truly wild birds, not preserve or pen raised. They run, hide, disappear, and offer explosive flushes. Walking and working (and missing) are part of the fun and experience. If you want scores of birds and easy access, book a preserve hunt with someone else. Our guides Eric and Kevin were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, and both had a number of good dogs. This was our group’s second hunt with Dave, and it was even better than the first. The countryside is varied (mountain foothills and desert) and striking. Dave is a big personality, very funny but super focused on hunting, birds, dogs and shotguns. He is great to spend time with each day. I highly recommend DBO for upland bird hunting in AZ. We’ve also fished with DBO in Alberta and highly recommend that as well!!

I have used DBO several times as FlyFishing guides in Canada. This is my first time using their services for quail in AZ. Dave runs a first class operation. He recruits local experts to provide unforgettable experiences for his clients. My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed our two days of chasing Mearns on the AZ/MEX boarder. His guides are professional, expierienced dog handlers, and know the area better then some of the local quail populations! Our guides put us on more birds then we could shoot. Thanks James and Justin for all 20 miles of hiking and the unforgettable scenery, birds, dogs and stories!
