Hall's Quail Preserve

What a place to hunt! We had our group of 4 and just wanted to get out and do a fun hunt and this was the place. Our guide was awesome and the dogs were great to work with. The staff is fun, safe, and knowledgeable. If you’re looking for a safe controlled environment to do a fun hunt, you found it here!

Well I have to say that my first hunt at Halls last year was great. We harvested 65 birds between the five of us. The birds were amazing and service was great. However, Recently a group of mine took our sons out to pheasant and quail hunt. We purchased 40 quail and 12 pheasant. The pheasants were quite lively although I’m not convinced all 12 were released in the field. As for the quail. The quail were awful. I literally harvested a quail by picking it up and dispatching it with my hands. The quail did not fly and there was no sport in the hunt. A total of 12 quail were spotted and only 3 flew. When Mr. Hall asked how was the hunt, I told him my concerns and he said “oh well”. There was no courtesy to offer a discount on a future hunt or anything. After spending 900 dollars on this second trip, I will not be going back. If your going, I would ask specifically if he is “ not impressed with the birds”. His words, not mine.

Had a great time hunting today. Birds were flying great and dog work was very good. Hope to make another hunt soon.

I didn't hunt, but my husband had a real good hunt with his own dog. The birds were spaced out about right, and they flew !

Gavin was a great guide and his dogs were on point. Everyone there was really nice and the terrain made it a fun hunt.
