The Hunting Company

Unfortunately Captain Mizell was horrible. I had a Friend in town from South Carolina and for his birthday I booked a combination afternoon hog hunt and night bow fishing. Not only was Mizell completely Non communicative leading up to the hunt so much so that I didn't even know what time we were actually meeting or what supplies, equipment to bring. Once hunting me and my buddy quickly realized it was completely unhuntable. The entire area was flooded with absolutely zero land for any hogs to be found on. The captain kept saying look in the thick 6 ft reeds while these reeds are 2 feet under water. Where absolutely no hogs would possibly be. I've hunted hogs literally 100s of times and in addition I have hired dozens of guides in several states. So this was not our 1st rodeo. Captain Mizell knew that the area was completely unhuntable and we had a 0 chance of success at least a week prior to us going out and didn't say anything to us. The water was too high, flooding the area and making it impossible. Maybe with a tower....maybe but I doubt it. He clearly only cared about the money and not the experience. He either purposely scammed us or simple didn't care if we had any success. An honest person would have said Hey guys the area is blown out let's reschedule, or lets fish the saltwater that he later stated he knew was clear. The bow hunting was next and was an even worse experience. The worst part is as we were heading back to the dock he laughed and said that salt water was perfect and really clear right now. What?! Well why wasn't that knowledge passed on to us and a suggestion made to do that instead? I would not suggest this company.

No hog but I was impressed with the professionalism of the Company. I felt that they had done everything that they could to make my hunt a successful one.
